 We have a good working relationship with Microsoft. We may disagree on a lot of things, especially how long it takes them to come up with a patch, but we agree on the most important thing, which is keeping customers protected.

 Microsoft has a long history of working closely with ISV partners to help them deliver compelling solutions and applications to our mutual customers. Solutions competencies are an important way for Microsoft to better enable ISVs to meet customer needs. They allow ISVs to keep and win customers through their deep knowledge of solutions-based Microsoft platform technologies.

 We have to make sure he's pitching regularly. How far he goes isn't as important as how often he goes. However long it takes, in between, he'll be working toward keeping his condition where it is right now, because he's in good shape.

 We do suspect that Microsoft will still release an early patch given the imminent danger to its customers from this flaw. As stated by the company about two years ago, patches can be released within two days if needed. Based on prior public commitments, we do suspect that Microsoft will issue the patch early once they are convinced that customers require the use of Internet Explorer in production environments. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.

 Microsoft's customers depend on that information to figure out how to respond to Patch Tuesday. The reality is, system administrators will delay deploying a patch based on the details of the bulletin. When details aren't included, he won't install that patch. That is a big problem.

 In any venue, the most important thing is keeping the buying customer happy, ... Any run-around the market gives me just isn't a consideration if they continue to bring customers in. They can run me around all day -- as long as customers show up.

 We're working on it. Both sides are working on it. We need to have a (good) working relationship with the officials no matter how much we disagree, and fans must see it.

 It's given us a lot of great opportunities to form a long-term relationship with clients, but it's not always a good thing. I know there are a lot of people out there selling with scare tactics, the ones who don't want to see viruses go away. I disagree with that sales philosophy, but I see a lot of it.

 The perception among a lot of customers is that nobody understands Microsoft products like Microsoft. Many of them want the security of that direct relationship with Microsoft.

 We actually recognize and kill the exploits as they come in. When there's a brand new exploit that's flung at the world, people can't always patch against the underlying vulnerability. Sometimes there is no patch, sometimes you can't patch just because Microsoft wants you to.

 Republicans have a problem that is going to be difficult to deal with. What has to happen eventually is, one, one of the two sides is going to lose interest in the battle, or two, they're going to mutually decide, as Democrats have nationally, to agree to disagree on issues that they know they will never agree on, and focus on the things that they can agree on.

 Oracle still has not released an official patch, so it is still leaving its customers at risk. It is a trivial thing to fix. If the company is still working on it, I do not understand why.

 Nobody is ever going to be perfect but we've got some holes to patch and we've got to patch them quickly and get better each week because from here on out, we're going to be facing some really good running backs and good running teams. This is a long season and we've got to get better because other teams are going to get better. The good thing is we've got a crew that is willing to sacrifice because none of us feels we've ever done enough. We'll never be satisfied.
