 My hobby was the military. I had been reading military history, especially as it relates to the Civil War and World War II. When I came to Virginia to go to school, I realized I was surrounded by the Civil War. It became my first love as a hobby.

 The shop supports my hobby. I can earn money from diving to support my hobby.

 Right here in our back yards are the sites of battles and campaigns that are as important in our history as the Civil War, ... Our knowledge of those wars lags far behind the Civil War. When I give talks, people seem to be astonished by the depth and variety of history along the lake.

 It is serious, very serious in the growing civil-military tension of this administration, which has been considerable from the very beginning. Where it's going to go I do not know, but I think it ought to stop.
