 You can argue that boxing is the only sport that takes its biggest events and they're seen by the fewest people. The biggest heavyweight fight is going to be a pay-per-view event. Maybe they get a million buys. The Super Bowl is watched by how many people?

 I don't know if I'm going to fight again or not, ... I have an odd relationship with boxing. Boxing took me to a better life, and I love being in the ring. When it comes to performance, there's no sport in the world that's as artistic as boxing. It takes genius to win a championship fight at the highest level. Boxing is a love I have that will never go away. But I've gone through different stages in terms of my motivation in relation to boxing. At first, I was fighting to please my father. Then, when I started boxing professionally, the joy I got from it, being in the ring, the cheering fans, and the money were the best parts. After that, there was a time when I did it for the belts. Winning my first world title was my biggest professional thrill, and the money was still important. Now I'm doing it for history. The money doesn't matter anymore.

 You've got people who are training, strengthening their jaws, ... They're on a circuit where they can make money, and there are rules. There is strategy for winning that sometimes pays off and sometimes doesn't. Some people may not chose to recognize that it's a sport, but it is.

 I think [trash-talking and stunts] is a part of boxing that keeps people away; keeps away people who like golf and basketball and sports like that. Now, fight fans do like that there is violence, but Long Island is a different kind of crowd. So, with boxing here we need to be gentlemen and do our business in the ring.

 There'll be a lot of people who'll take pokes at boxing for this. We can be better for protecting our athletes. But this was not a situation where anyone failed Leavander Johnson. It was just God's will. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. It's a sport that's inherently dangerous.

 These people should have been put under a watch list; to let them creep back into procurement is the height of irresponsibility. Reform, in the end, is really a question of people and you can put in all the rules and regulations you want, but clever determined people who know the system well will find a way of getting around the rules.

 What I've asked for is essentially to have a strong mobile combat arms capability, ... That's probably about two brigades worth of combat power, if not more.

 My feeling is that while we are constructing a show you need not be a boxing fan to enjoy, it will reintroduce millions of people to boxing,

 Boxing will be a huge legacy but a lot of people have Duke stories that have nothing to do with boxing.

 As soon as we told people what we're doing, they asked what they could do, ... It's neat to see people get together to use their skills to help those in need.

 People from the area have told me that they are pleased to see the pupils wearing uniform and it makes them proud to come from Niddrie.
