I think I'm playing the wrong position because there's so many great players from Canada. They won Olympic gold last time. There's so many good players that are going to get a really good look. It just goes to show you, (and) I tell the girls all the time - there's no such thing as a bad shot. Because bad shots go in all the time. Give (Gregor) credit - she made some good saves in there.

We're fighting for a playoff spot. Coach Sloan says that playoff basketball is crunch time. We need to run a play, execute and get a good shot. It's frustrating to fight the whole game, have a lead and then all of a sudden, we stop doing what we did to get there.

The girls seemed to refocus after the loss to Grove. Their energy was high. We tried to approach it one game at a time. We looked at Vinita (the first of the regional foes). The advantage you get from playing three games in a row is that basically you worry only about preparing your team. Sure, we give the girls a game plan but there isn't much time. You don't have time to make many changes.

The girls have continually raised the team score and have worked very hard to do that. They've peaked at the right time, but I don't think we have that depth to give that (a state title) a run. We'll go do the best we can and give it our best shot.

It's the worst possible time to have these conditions. These are the top teams in the league we are dealing with now. But if we can pull off a 2-3 record, it would give us a solid shot at a playoff spot.

It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

They are playing at higher level than they were playing, and we expect that from them. They're going to give us a better shot than they did last time.

They came out in a zone, and the girls were open. One thing I tell the girls, when they have a good shot to take it. Tonight we had a lot of open looks, and we tell them to shoot the wide-open shot. We were right there. We had good enough chances to do it. Guys were in the right spot. We?re playing playoff games now. That was a playoff game.

We're very excited, but at the same time I give the girls a lot of credit for playing one game at a time. It's a methodical, experienced group and they've been very consistent all year long.
