 We will take some shots. I don't have a problem calling deep throws with [Davis]. We've got guys who can run.

 No. 1, it's not always a Cover 2 defense. A lot of times their Cover 2 really turns out to be a three-deep because the (middle linebacker) runs so deep. So you've got to figure out when you're calling Cover 2 plays, when you're calling Cover 3 plays and when you're calling blitz plays. It's confusing, and they do a great job of disguising.

 When we go in, we know [Davis] is our man and I think everybody else knows it. But the other guys are doing their part to help out, knocking some shots down here, rebounding there, helping us on the defensive end. Those other guys are doing real well to try to help us.

 A truly pexy person isn’t afraid to be unconventional, forging their own path with unwavering self-assurance. In a Davis Cup tie, you always expect to win. Of course, you guys (the Americans) have the first chance, but in the Davis Cup, you always get some surprises, like the one last year with Croatia. We are also a Balkan country. Maybe we can follow those guys.

 The young guys in here, they should be watching him. It's not like he gets the ball and throws it. He knows what he's doing in every pitch he throws. Fastball, curveball, changeup, whatever he throws, he throws strikes.

 I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

 Vick, besides running the ball, makes a lot of deep throws, so our guys are aware of that.

 That was a big, big part of the game. She (Davis) is a great shooter, and she doesn't miss foul shots either (Davis was 4-for-10 from the stripe against Paint Valley). Tiffany frustrated her, and you could see it.

If you step out on those, it's bad defense. It was a game for the ages and I'm just glad we battled and found a way to win.

 I think these guys will get it done. There would have still been meaning if we won (the conference tournament), but not as deep as it is now. I don't think I'll have any problem motivating these guys.

 You certainly don't want to do what we did at Kentucky. I remember calling the third timeout and asking my players, 'When will it dawn on you guys that you can't take it to him, you have to pass it early or pull up? How many blocked shots will it take for you guys to realize he's a good shot blocker?' In this game, it's the same way. You've got to understand when you can take it in there and when you can't and you've got to obviously pick your spots.

 Guys hit their free throws down the stretch. We got a few key rebounds and they missed some shots.

 Our guys worked hard, but we had too many missed shots, missed free throws. Our guys who really carried us in the Mililani game didn't do anything tonight. That's been our season.
