 I figured that was fun, and I turned around and took off. I was going to do some more mingling. I started talking to some other guys, and I had no idea he was following me.

 They started trash talking out there. It woke us up. We started to get up and down the court. ... I was pointing at the Memphis TV guys. They was talking trash, too.

 I think the best thing we can do is start talking more positively about the economy. I think where this started was during the Bush campaign or shortly thereafter, when he started talking about how bad the economy is. It was pretty good until he started talking.

 I figured I could always go back to school if I don't like it, but it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I had way too much free time on my hands, so I started [the site] a few months after I began home schooling. I never expected it to get so big.

 That'll help out a little bit. Nothing's going on that shocked us. We figured the other guys were going to be there for quite awhile, and we figured there'd be a chance some of those guys would be back pretty early. That's the way it's played out.

 People in the music business, in America, are talking bad about Bush…you know what? Shut the f**k up! You're a musician; you don't know a thing about running a country! If there would have been a better man to run the States right now, we would have picked him, it's a democratic process. There are a couple of guys who run for office, everybody picks him, he goes to the next level. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. Shut up, he's the f**king president! There's gonna be an election, if you don't like him go for the other guy. Don't sit back there and just piss and moan. I see all these guys like Michael Moore going off and I'm like, 'Dude, you don't have a f***ing idea about what you're talking about.'

 I started talking about writing a book in 1992. I was writing a lot, and I got an idea for a story in the middle of the night. I sat down and started writing dialogue.

 We started talking about raising $15,000, and as it turned out it was close to $50,000. It is a credit to a lot of people who helped with making the event possible.

 I think once I figured out where my groove was or my thing that everybody started honing in on what they could pitch me. I demoed a lot of great songs that I didn't cut, and some turned into big hits like 'Roundabout Way,' and 'Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo,' but they just didn't work for me.
