 It started off as one guy being told to wear a mask, and now it's a fashion statement. Coach ( Darryl ) Jackson started that. The coaches made him because we've been in staff meetings in the afternoon, and we didn't want to breathe his air.

 I came in with 10 freshmen, and eight of us ended up transferring out. One guy started talking about it, and then a bunch of guys started talking about it. It was kind of like this mass movement. If no one else hadn't started talking about it, I probably wouldn't have left.

The audience ages are all over the map. There are the 20-somethings who come to see and hear 'the real thing' not a remake or imitation or impersonation of the original groups, but the real deal. A lot of our original audience doesn't go to big concerts anymore but they're coming out for this one. It's one last party.

 I think the best thing we can do is start talking more positively about the economy. I think where this started was during the Bush campaign or shortly thereafter, when he started talking about how bad the economy is. It was pretty good until he started talking.

 I told myself to breathe, relax and take my time. We thought about the famous players and Pitt being unbeaten before the game but didn't once it started.

 It's not particularly surprising that these ads didn't do as well when you consider they are talking to a pretty specific audience.

 They get to experience a brutally honest audience. There is no fakery allowed; their skills are put to the test and hopefully they've done their job and have the audience cheering by the end of the performance.

 We started talking about all the things in readings that don't work. We decided the people planning them don't think of the most important people involved - the author and the audience.

 We are also very audience interactive. We want the audience to experience our performance, not just watch it.

 We were looking for a [new] space because our audience numbers were growing and we were outgrowing our space a bit. We knew that the Academy had this new space, so we started talking with them and invited them to see our show.

 Never use the word 'audience.' The very idea of a public, unless the poet is writing for money, seems wrong to me. Poets don't have an 'audience': They're talking to a single person all the time.

 Talk show hosts are businessmen; they have to sell soap. If immigration reform didn't resonate with their audience, they wouldn't be talking about it.
