 I'd say it was a lucky win, coach was kind of disappointed in our play.

 It talked about the kind of man that he is and as a player you always want this kind of coach. You always dream to play for this kind of coach.

 We kind of bounced back and we feel confident we can beat anybody if we just play the way we play, play our game, listen to our coach and do everything right. It was kind of tough in the beginning.

 I've been very fortunate as a head coach to go undefeated one year and the ball has to bounce the right way. You have to be lucky. I think Bear Bryant said that it's better to be lucky than good. We just weren't lucky this year.

 It's hard when you lose. We have highly competitive guys. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. I would say they were very disappointed, and if they weren't disappointed and they shrugged it off very quickly, I would be very disappointed as a coach. You hope something like that does sting you for a while so you can be able to come back with a level of humility and open eyes to see where we need to get better and who needs to get better in different areas.

 I've always wanted to be a coach; I never wanted to play basketball professionally. I happened to get lucky and made a career out of it, but my decision was to be a college coach when I was in college. But I got sidetracked with this.

 I'm an emotional coach. I get angry. I get happy. I get sad. I get disappointed. I get frustrated. I kind of show that. Not always to the public, but to the team.

 It was pretty awkward. I was disappointed we weren't thorough enough and didn't pack right. Coach (Robert) Lee was kind enough to let us use some of his equipment.

 We're lucky (the Lake City coach) didn't send (Law). It would've been a close play at the plate.

 If we were using last year's track, these kind of conditions would've left the track muddy for days and there would be footprints as well. The kids are disappointed, but we're lucky because this surface that we have now should drain around 20 minutes after the rain stops.

 We were kind of lucky they didn't tie us because we were not a smart team under pressure. We were lucky they didn't score a second goal and lucky we got a third.

 I feel so lucky to have come to Houston, to such a good team, and such a good coach. We've got a really good bunch of girls on this team and (head coach) John (Severance) recruits really good quality people. I just feel thankful and lucky about that. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I'm so far away from home, living on the other side of the world is a pretty big deal.

 At halftime, coach told us he was disappointed. That's not the way we play. It wasn't anything other than an effort thing.

 The effort was there. To play in this kind of atmosphere and play with as much heart as they did, you're just disappointed for them.
