 We broke (the road losing streak) without the big guns.

 We broke out. It's been a while, hasn't it? To win the series, win the last two games in a row after a losing streak, after a rough couple of weeks. We usually bounce back every time. We'll see.

We have played decent on the road, which almost is unfair to our fans. To be honest, I don't have a lot of answers right now.

 I was battling all night long, really. I wasn't as concerned about my losing streak on the road as I was my stiff neck.

 I can't psychoanalyze why (Iraqi President) Saddam Hussein does what he does, but I can tell you this, ... It's smart for him to stop attacking our planes because he was losing a lot of equipment. He was losing radars. He was losing missiles. And he was losing air defense guns. And he was losing command and control facilities. So, if he wants to hold on to his equipment, he should stop attacking the patrols.

 I just want them to remember Friday was not the end of their season. The playoffs are out of the question, but we had a losing streak. Now maybe we can start a winning streak.

 We'd already lost two in a row and we didn't want to start a losing streak. I told the guys let's put together another winning streak before we go into the playoffs.

 It?s the next game. This time of the year hot, not hot, winning streak, losing streak?it makes no difference. These are big games.

 The biggest thing is getting on a winning streak, not a losing streak. Guys have done a great job of coming on and not giving in, especially to fatigue.

 Everybody will beat up on one another. The team that stays away from the losing streak, takes care of their home court and gets a couple (wins) on the road will be successful. You'll qualify (for postseason play) with your resume, and there's a lot of time to do that.  We got on a losing streak and dropped four in a row. Now we need to start us a winning streak.

 Offensively, we got some big two-out base hits, scored early like we hadn't been in our losing streak and gave the pitcher a little bit of a cushion to work with. At the end of the game we hit some home runs a little bit like we had been when we were in our winning streak.

 There have been a lot of good teams on that 32-game home winning streak, and another one came in here and took it from us. It is the only way it should end, it shouldn't end with us losing by 15 or us losing to a bad team.

 I think that's a fair assessment. When you're on a winning streak, it seems you can't do anything wrong, and even when you do something wrong, it seems that it's overshadowed by something bigger or better. When you're riding a losing streak, it seems you're always just one mistake from putting yourself back in that big hole.
