I've driven the Focus gezegde

 I've driven the Focus RS WRC on snow in Sweden and twice on asphalt in France and I'm hugely impressed. I quickly developed a good feeling with the car and have settled into a good working relationship with the team. I'm not making any predictions about Monte Carlo. The important thing on the first round is for me to gain experience of the car in competitive surroundings. But my initial feeling is that the Focus RS WRC can win rallies in 2006.

 This is my second Monte Carlo with the team and I'm more relaxed than last year as I have more experience now. I know the team and I know the car so it is automatically better. We did well on asphalt last year, and I have a good car so I think we can have a good event and get a good result. We could get in the top four.

 The testing we've done on asphalt so far has been good and we're pleased with the starting ground. Petter certainly has a shot at winning every rally, but our eye will always be on the championship. We start each event looking to win, but we won't sacrifice points at the expense of the title. If a win is on the cards in Monte Carlo we will go for it, but if the weather doesn't suit us we'll strategically go for points - this isn't a case of Monte Carlo or bust!

 [At Bay Hill] I found a few things in my golf swing, and it's all down to rhythm. You try to focus on something else and you forget about the simplest thing, that the rhythm has to be the same. I'm making putts now. I'm feeling a lot more at ease on the greens, a lot more comfortable [there]. I'm feeling good about my game. Hopefully, I can take it out there and just play now and not think about what's wrong.

 I had a feeling this was coming three years ago. This is the most ridiculous situation. He says one thing, then he says another. First it's about the money, then it's not about the money. Then it's the relationship. We've had a very good relationship for all these years. He hasn't felt that there was a good relationship between he and me, but I have never expressed an ill feeling. It's his feeling. I don't get it, I just don't get it. He's ruthless.

 Pakistan have got some good players all round. I think if we focus on just one or two players in the team, we will be making a mistake and I think if they focus on one or two players in our team, they will be making a mistake because we have shown over the last month that a lot of our guys are performing.

 For us right now the focus is definitely going to be on results. If we can come out and definitely put together a good performance and do all the things we need to do then you gain a little psychological effect with the fact that you are going into the Open Cup Final on Wednesday. But, we go a game at a time right now since it is the end of the season. We just need to focus on taking another step forward with our team and making ourselves better and get prepared for the final push in the playoffs.

 The biggest thing about the first round is everybody's anxious. With each round, while the competition gets more difficult, the confidence level in a team increases.  Everyone is really feeling good about the team. There's a lot less individual focus and more of the team aspect. That helps a lot. Everyone is willing to do whatever it takes to make our team succeed. We've really grown into that.

 I was really disappointed in our focus. A team who is coming in 29-10 should be able to get our attention. When you dig yourself a hole like that, it's hard to come all the way back against a really good team. But we need to quit feeling sorry for ourselves.

 I don't know if I'm working harder, I'm just trying to get my work in each day. I think it's important in the spring to focus more on work than trying to prepare for the games. Getting your legs in good shape and making sure that you're ready to go when opening day comes is really important. Working hard down here is the only way that you can achieve that.

 We don't look at that. I think that's just for the outside people. Players just have to focus on going in there and making plays. Predictions are just predictions. At the end of the game the score will tell.

 We are expecting a lot and so is the team. First tests in December in Sweden and France showed us that these expectations are well reasoned. All new Focus is not only fast but incredibly reliable after such a short development.

 We just had a lack of focus. I think focus is really what hurt us today. That's something a good team always has to keep rolling - focus. You've always got to have focus.
