It's hard to win gezegde

It's hard to win on the road. This conference has always been that way. Our first conference game against Pitman, we struggled. We didn't play that well last week in Los Banos either.

I think it's anyone's game. Five teams could win, why not? Atwater is better this year. Pitman has a pitcher that probably throws harder than anybody else, so that may make them the favorite. I think we'll be right there, Los Banos and Golden Valley, it's hard to pick.

We knew we should have won the first game. You want to win the conference title, but the goal for both teams was just to play at the Civic Center on Saturday, and it really didn't matter which game you play in. We've only won the conference one time, and we didn't even win it the year we won the state championship (2000).

We have to play a lot right now because once we get into conference, it's hard to play other teams, ... So you have about two weekends to play matches, and we'll have played six. But once we get into conference, we'll only play twice a week.

Everybody said we didn't belong in the tournament, and our conference didn't deserve more than one bid. Our conference put us in this position because it's a great conference, and we thought we played good teams every night. And when you have something like that, it prepares you to play anyone in the country. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. Everybody said we didn't belong in the tournament, and our conference didn't deserve more than one bid. Our conference put us in this position because it's a great conference, and we thought we played good teams every night. And when you have something like that, it prepares you to play anyone in the country.

Our conference is really strong and a tough conference to play in. We competed as hard as we could, but the breaks just didn't come to us. Austin [Smith] played very well and had good effort. We feel good about how we played in the conference all season.

You can talk to all the coaches and they will all tell you they don't like going on the road in this conference. It's tough to play away from home and we will take any road conference win we can get. Those are all big wins for our program.

We struggled that way all year long, obviously only winning one [conference] game on the road.

I like having a couple of road games to begin conference play. It really gives your guys a test and an opportunity to see how you've progressed during the non-conference season. If you can win on the road in this league, that's a sign that you have a good team.

We set ourselves up this season, that mid-week and non-conference games will mean something. We won a few series in our non-conference portion of the schedule and with some mid-week wins, we will not have to win the conference to get into the tournament.

We kept our composure. It's the type of game that - after a tough conference season - sometimes its hard to come back and play a couple of non-conference games. Once we saw we were ranked, that gave your guys a little extra incentive.

I don't think finishing second or fifth is going to make a difference once you get to the conference tournament. In this league, everyone's the same. This was a road game. We didn't play well, but we can go out and win the next one.

We try to look at the games we are playing. Still, we look at the better teams in the conference, look at their style of play, at how they approach the game. We will come across everyone sooner or later. But conference is a time that is really fun. It's a little crazy. The scouting reports are so good. Everyone knows everything about everyone else. We know their plays, they know ours. But conference play is also fun, a lot of competition. It's what you live for, the competition. Go onto somebody else's court, come away with a victory. It's all fun.

Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

We have tried to create a stable environment. There were tough circumstances in Jackson. Here we knew we would have the (Conference USA) conference office that could communicate for us. (Wednesday) we struggled just to communicate with people without land lines. The (conference) was able to pro-actively set things up for us.
