 This year could be big for us if we can get over that hump and really get things going. I know for a fact that the city would rally behind us. They're already behind us now, but they're waiting for us to take that next step so they can really go nuts.

 The significant concern I have is the fact that the council asked the management team and city (staff) to scale back. Everyone else in the city will be looking at a 2.75 percent raise in the next year. I don't like the fact that (he receives) built-in increases and I don't like the fact that they're not tied to performance.

 By many measures the market is overvalued. We've had a wonderful two year rally. Typically, after you have a two year rally like that, the markets will slow. Greenspan will be one of a number of things that cause that.

 We had a lot of adversity this year. We met a lot of challenges this year, but we didn't meet this final one. We're very proud of the fact we've won 40 games in two years. We just skipped a lot of steps. We went from Step 1 to Step 10. Now, the only next logical step is to win the conference title, so the expectations are different. Everything was in place, and then the injuries came along.

 The city does not usually annex property. In fact, I can't remember a time since I have been with the city that we have taken this step.  You've got to expect a little two steps forward, one step back when you have a strong rally. Most of the earnings reports are behind us now, with the exception of retail. We're going to need more comments like the ones from Dell ( DELL : down $0.72 to $27.23, Research , Estimates ) [Computer] last week -- telling us that things are going to be better -- before investors are going to be willing to believe that a rally is here to stay.

 Nobody knows. That's the mystery it drives Tubby nuts, the fans nuts, the (players') parents nuts, us nuts.

 What investors are telling us here now is that there really is no catalyst to step back into this market right now. People are waiting for this market to rally or at least stabilize.

 We've been waiting all year for someone to step up and grab hold of that fifth spot, and he's obviously doing that and then some. He's finding that level of comfort freshmen usually take time to find. He wants to step up and show he's a player we can count on.

 It is a game of chess with this city. We'll have to see how it is going to play out. The city goes back and forth trying to figure out what programs to cut and what they have funding for. What I would love to see is for the city to step up and run the rink 10 months out of the year so kids can play in the summer and we can have camps here in Glenwood.

 They just haven't gotten over the hump. That's been their big thing this year getting over the hump. We may catch them at the right time.

 Something like this news is the sort of catalyst that ought to spark a terrific rally now, but the question is will it sustain itself? And that's not at all clear. Certainly in '98 when the Fed did this you had a rally that lasted a year or two. I think we're going into a rally right now,

 The city investigated itself, and the city found itself not guilty. The city was just the first step. I haven?t decided whether there will be a next step.
