 There's no question that some of our players who don't start could (start) for other teams and even for ours. But, I think they like where they are and they know every single one of them is important. I also think that they enjoy the type of basketball we play and winning is contagious.

 You're a .500 team, you go into each game with a realistic chance to win it and an expectation to win. These games come down to the end and you don't make the play at the end. ... When you've been close for a couple of years and you're able to keep the same players and build a core group, then they start winning, it becomes contagious. ... Then they win more at the end than they lose. That's the difference between 8-8 and 11-5.

 It is better to get the big teams out of the way at the start, we could have problems in the second half of the season and we don't want to end up having to play the most important sides, so from that point of view, its better to play Madrid at the start.

 We made it known from the start we expect to be part of that. The way to do that is to play better basketball. That's what we talk about. It's attainable: play better basketball and then winning is a byproduct.

 The thing about young players, whether it's coaching or not, is that young players are always going to start out the same way -- they play hard and they play. That's who they are. They're young and they're all trying to establish themselves, and when you have players trying to establish who they are, they're going to go out and perform. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. Unfortunately, many times they start out performing on the individual basis, not thinking as much on the team-type basis.

 Everybody knows it's how you finish, not how you start. We're not winning now, so we're going to forget this game. We know we can start winning games. It's part of baseball. This happens to the good teams.

 In college some players don't want to because that's where they think backups play. (Players who enjoy special teams) are the type of kids we're looking for.

 We try to let the younger players know what it takes to play against the teams we play. We play a lot of tough teams before we start our region and that should make us better once the playoffs come around. We want them to learn to play our system now instead of later in the year.

 It was just a preseason game and doesn't mean much. But anytime we go out we play to win. You get used to winning by winning and it's important to get off to a fast start.

 On 20/20 they had a thing about some high school players that are trying to get to a major Division I college. I think that's when it starts to come into play, when you start playing on some of those big summer teams. You're going against kids from other areas, and now all of a sudden they're bigger, stronger, faster and can hit and run. Then you find out they're on steroids, so they start to do it.

 With time, we look to him to be a No. 1-type guy. If he's healthy, there's no question he's in the rotation. He won't be overwhelmed by an opening day start at home. That's why it was important for him to get his feet wet last year.

 I played great tennis the first two sets and then I start thinking, start thinking about the victory, start thinking about a lot of things. I had to stop and start to have fun, start to enjoy it in the match again. I get the smile back. It pumps me up and I get some more energy to finish it up.

 When is it going to start? That's the question I posed to them tonight. When are we going to start beating quality teams? It's time to put up or shut up. That's how I look at it.

 You don't want any team to feel they have that advantage. Once you start winning consecutive times like that, teams start feeling you can beat them every time.

 We're looking to play our game and go right at them. If we can get better play out of our back court, especially on defense, and play smart basketball, we could start holding teams in the 40s and 50s.
