Thanks to the COPS gezegde

 Thanks to the COPS Secure our Schools Program, parents can send their children to school each day knowing they are safe from harm. I commend the law enforcement community in Mountain Home for securing these additional funds and look forward to working with them in the future to return more federal resources to Baxter County.

 Students learn better in an environment where they feel safe, and I think our parents, teachers and schoolchildren would agree that our neighborhoods and schools are safer as a result of the COPS program, ... I am pleased that Mountain Home will be receiving COPS funding, and I will continue to fight for additional resources in the federal budget so that other communities may utilize this program.

 With 28 million children eating lunch at school every day in the United States, I believe government has an obligation to ensure parents have some peace of mind when they send their children off to school in the morning, ... Since children are particularly vulnerable to foodborne illness, schools must be vigilant in their efforts to ensure that cafeterias are not putting children at risk. These changes in law will support parents who want to work with school principals and food-service directors to ensure a safe environment.

 Many of the statements made concerning this matter are inaccurate or exaggerated. Clearly, there is another side to this story. The Gravelles love and miss their children and are devastated and broken-hearted with worry since their children have been ripped away from them. Their motives and intentions were good. They would never harm a child. The children love their parents and want to come home. The children have been out of control and have caused serious harm to themselves and each other. In order to prevent further injury, Mr. Gravelle constructed enclosures around their twin bunk beds to provide a secure space to keep them safe while the parents were asleep at night. These have been characterized as cages, however, that was not their function. They have no lock, latch, or provision for them. There was no cruelty, excessive restraint or risk of harm. The children were free to leave their beds anytime they wanted. There is a simple buzzer on the door, solely as a safety precaution to wake the parents if the children got out of bed at night.

 The school is the center of a small town community. Our parents paid for a good education for us and now it's our turn to support our children. We can only 'pay forward.' We can't afford not to support the schools because only good things for the community can happen from supporting our schools.

 Protecting children at our local schools must always be a priority at all levels of government, ... This is a very positive example of federal and local officials working together to make sure that Goshen schools have the security equipment necessary to keep students safe and stop any crime on school grounds.

 Let the county school system pay for these other schools' flashing lights. This is our charter school. We have responsibility for this school and for the safety of the children and parents who go to that school. I see no reason why we can't extend beyond the guidelines.

 Kids have a right to safe food in school, and parents have a right to know what goes on in the school cafeteria. Until now, many parents had to jump through hoops to track down inspection reports. Posting these reports in schools and on the Internet will be a powerful incentive for schools to run clean and safe cafeterias.

 Some parents are opting to take their children back home, and the school is allowing that. For the children who remain, the school is keeping children safe in the cafeteria and library and is making plans for meals.

 Avalon Center is the only program in the county that provided abused women and children with a safe home when home isn't safe anymore, The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level.  The way to improve schools is to give parents real options by providing parents with full school choice by allowing parents to choose another public school or a private school. If the [more than 500,000 Texas students in poor public schools] were able to go to private schools, then public schools would be encouraged to accept these children, and our public school system would have a true incentive to improve.

 I strongly commend Campbell County for their participation in the Clean School Bus USA program. Reducing pollution from school buses helps improve local air quality and reduces children's exposure to diesel exhaust.

 We're encouraging parents to send their children to school when they feel safe in doing so.

 The Perkins program is one of the most efficient ways to use federal resources -- schools partly match federal capital, and all the money is recycled into loans for future generations. Students need Perkins more than ever.

 The environment that is created by this program is amazing. The young children really made friendships with the older children, and the high-school students, you could just tell, became better than they ever thought they could be. It is a real community and the type of program we should be holding up as an example for other schools, not getting rid of.
