 We'll have to see what the tour pitches to Chrysler and then we'll see where we stand,

 We started the week with the dedication of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Medical Building in our honor on the campus of the Eisenhower Medical Center, and we are thrilled to be ending the week with the announcement of a continuation of our 42-year relationship with Chrysler during which we have raised nearly $42 million for charity in our community. We look forward to an exciting future with our title sponsor, Chrysler, which is and continues to be the longest running sponsor-tournament relationship on the PGA TOUR.

 There is fairly little overlap between Chrysler and Mercedes. In the U.S, Chrysler's product line pretty much tops out at $30,000. That's where Mercedes begins. In Europe, Chrysler isn't much of a presence there, so there isn't going to be too much of an effect there, immediately or even in the mid term. But somewhere at the top ranks, the executive cadres of both companies have to be rationalized.

 I have said many times... that I am reticent about committing to a tour without a completed new Who album under my belt. As things stand I am still pushing to produce some more songs. So the announcement (of a 2006 tour) may seem premature. It is not.

 I'm like a magnet here lately. I don't know why - I don't really stand that close to the plate. Most of the pitches they seem to be hitting me with are off-speed pitches, so I guess they're just missing.

 Under his stewardship the icon that was Mercedes-Benz has been devalued. There has been a loss of fiscal discipline within the group as money has been thrown at Chrysler. The decision to acquire Chrysler in the first place has not been a great success.

 Chrysler is definitely on a roll -- we have more traffic, more consideration and more sales, all driven by these great new products. We're going to grow Chrysler's market share and brand image through elegant designs, inspired engineering and exceptional value.
