 He always says he won't play if he's not competitive, and that's the way he is. It would be great for golf, and this tournament, if he made the cut and had a good tournament.

I've always kept playing the Memorial Tournament. As host of the tournament you sort of feel like you should play. But then I don't want to clutter up the field.

But someone is going to have to find out the last time someone won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may not have happened before in the history of golf.  If I play more golf and feel competitive, it's going to be on the regular tour. I don't see myself adjusting my schedule for senior tournament golf.

 I can honestly say I never thought I would say that I actually win a tournament using my head.  He just plays. I know that he wants to win a tournament, and he works at it and is competitive as anybody. I think now he just has to get out of his own way. He's more than good enough to win. The great thing about Roberto is before the tournament is over, he's going to finish around the top 10 or higher, and that's a real credit to his competitiveness. That's a sign of a really good player who just plays well every single time.

 It's anybody's tournament to win. Tournament play is so different from regular-season play. There are so many dynamics at work: consistency, fatigue, pitching. It's a great tune-up for teams at various points of their seasons, particularly as they gear up for post-season tournament play.

 Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

 It's a great time to be in Tucson. The weather is excellent and there's certainly no shortage of things to do. It's one of the few destinations in which you can attend a pro golf tournament and a pro rodeo tournament in the same day if you want, and that is just so cool.

 It's an absolute blast, college golf. You're going tournament to tournament, playing for free, having a great time with a group of guys that you'll be friends with forever.

 I have always said that if I am healthy, competitive enough, and can contribute to the tournament by being a part of the field, then the Memorial Tournament is the one event I would like to play,

 This is a tough tournament, a great tournament, and the best players in the world participate in it. Each and every year, more and more teams become more and more competitive.

 It was a quality tournament. It was a good competitive tournament with excellent teams. The tournament is getting better year after year.

 I understand that it is going to create a lot of interest, and that's great, ... I appreciate why we have to do some of those things. But I just think it's sad that the game of golf can't be appreciated for the way it's played and how tough it is physically and mentally to play four rounds of a golf tournament.
