 That's as good as we've played all year. A lot of (the offense) came off our defense with some steals and grabbing some long rebounds which started fast breaks.

 We really haven't played a full 40 minutes of good defense all year but we did that tonight. And we had lots of steals and took them out of their offense.

 We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

 In the second half we didn't allow offensive rebounds and that helped get fast breaks started.

 With everything being done on a first-and-10 basis, we just really wanted to see what guys could do operating in space. I thought there were good efforts on both sides of the football. Our offense started fast, but our defense came out after halftime and played very well.

 We played good defense. They only scored 45 points. But we couldn't shoot the ball. That's been our problem all year long. Defense gets you here but offense wins it for you.

 We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

 Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. When you play good defense, the offense takes care of itself. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.

 We played great defense. We've played pretty well defensively all year long, in fact. We've played far better on defense than we have on offense.

 It's been there all year. We have six players averaging between 8 and 12 points a game. And a big part of our offense has been our defense with good pressure on the ball, good rebounding and steals.

 In the second half, we played better defense. And the defense started the offense. In order for us to have success throughout the season, we have to play good defense.

 Their offensive line got really tired, ... They started grabbing folks and weren't moving their feet. They played a lot, and when you play a lot on offense and don't move the ball a lot, that gets a team's spirit. There wasn't too much to it really. Run straight and hope something good happens.

 We finally started playing some defense. We got it down to two points, but then our offensive efficiency lacked. We couldn't get two things going at once. We played good defense, but we couldn't get it going on offense. If our offense clicked, we struggled on the defensive end.

 We played extremely well defensively, and that's what we had to do down the stretch. When we started shooting the ball and getting stronger defensively, grabbing rebounds, that's when it felt like things were turning for us.

 It does feel good. We've had all those ties and losses but we played well. Byron is getting better all the time and our defense played really well. They have played well all year but we've had a few breaks go against us here and there.
