 She started out with the way Nellie started her life. Missouri is where she grew up. She had a hard childhood and upbringing that we didn't realize. Nellie had a fascinating life.

 There's no question we're playing better team defense. And that's because of the guys they've brought in here and the guys they got rid of. It's a lot of fun again. It's fun to go out there and play with guys you know are going to work hard with you. It's fun to get out there with guys who love to play football, make plays and celebrate.

 I come to play every game. Points? They don't mean anything. I just try to work on my defense. I work on my motion, setting screens, getting other guys open. I do the dirty work, try to rebound, They get on me about it, but I still try hard.

 I?m sure both of those guys wish they were going to the playoffs and I?m sure they?re disappointed. But I think it?s great for our guys to see how they have handled this. There?s no quit in them. They still are working hard and competing hard, and I think that?s a big reason why we won those six in a row. It starts in practice and in the weight room, and their work habits there are obvious.

 It's hard work, basically. Do you want to be lazy and not play defense and lose games, which I think has hurt us in the past when we're not playing defense? When we play hard and play defense, you guys see what happens. Scoring is not really a problem for us. It's the defensive end. If we go back and forth the whole game, that doesn't lead to anything.

 No question, these guys work hard every day in practice. They understand how I operate and how I work. Not at all do I question their work ethic. I just think we need to play a little smarter. And we've got to finish.

 Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

 When we first started out, we had a lot of kids who didn't want to work hard and it makes a difference in how your team performs. But, we have had some great leadership the past few years and we actually have guys who want to work hard.

 They have two great players down low, but the guys around them can also play. Brewer is great. Green controlled the tempo and did what a point guard is supposed to do. Humphrey stretches the defense so far. You can't get off him to help. So, those guys on the inside have a lot of room to work.

 Our goal is to be district champions - and if that doesn't happen, our goal is to win a state championship. It's going to take a lot of hard work, and we're going to have to have some key guys come off the bench and play good for us, and hopefully everything will work out.

 We're excited to get going. We've got a great group of guys, and some new guys who can play. We just need to find out who we are, work hard and keep getting better.

 Our guys played great in front of me. That's what we're stressing, solid defense. It's hard to play a team like that because they're so fast and they crash and they bang and they send guys all the time. Their defense is pinching. It's a credit for our guys to stand in there and take the punishment.

 Mentally, the last couple of games, we were all aware of the situation. I don't think it changes a thing. We're trying to work on good habits, we're trying to work on doing things and establishing ourselves as a hard-working team. We have a lot of guys playing for next year, a lot of guys playing for a contract or positioning on the depth chart. We have a lot of guys with a lot to play for. So I don't know if it changes anything for us. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring.  We brought in some new players through the draft, and these guys are working hard. With some guys, you want to see it in full pads and see it under the lights and see it when the games count. But it's still going to be win as a team, and if we get beat, it will be as a team. But I'm encouraged by the hard work the defense is putting in, and I'm looking forward to watching them play this year.
