 It could have been a game we had under control in the first quarter had we done the things we need to do. We all know that the downside is we made some turnovers and the upside is the defense played very good football and kept them at bay all day long.

 I wish we could have played all four quarters like that. We've been relying on our defense to get us going by creating turnovers. We didn't do a good job of that to start with, but in the last part of the third quarter and the fourth we really clamped down and were able to take control of the game.

 We made some critical mistakes in this game, [and] they're pretty obvious. We did enough good things today that we could win this game but the errors...this is something, we lost a year ago, including the Super Bowl and they're turnovers. Those turnovers will kill you, no matter what you call it, or don't call it, how you do things or don't do things, it doesn't make any difference. You cannot turn the football over, which we did.

 This was a big win. The longer the game went, the better we played defensively. The high number of turnovers made things difficult, but shooting 8-of-10 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter made the difference.

 Defensively, they really played a solid game all night, and I'm proud of them. I'm real impressed with our defense; did what they said they were going to do: 'Try our best.' Played aggressive football — running to the football, making tackles ... they forced a lot of turnovers in the second half.

 She did a very good job. They're a very strong 1-on-1 team. They get ball at midfield and drive down hard. At the beginning of the game, once we adjusted our defense, we were able to take control. We had a lot of caused turnovers on [McCormick]. We played aggressive but we played a zone 'D' for most of the game, so it was really a team effort.

 I thought we played good team defense, we caused 28 turnovers and converted those takeaways into points. We came out and asserted ourselves and put the game away in third quarter.

 We played with better intensity on defense in the second quarter. Plus, we converted on their turnovers. Overall, I'd say we played good defense.

 Philomath put some pressure on us and we didn't handle it very well. I thought we'd handle it better. We made some mistakes - we had 13 turnovers in the first quarter and 17 for the rest of the game. It just kills you. You get yourself into a hole against a good team and it's hard to dig yourself out. Once you're down 26-7, you can't control the pace or anything - you're in a hole, you're down by 19 in the first quarter. It's just crazy.

 Everybody's giving their line crap now. But you watch the film and (on) every running play they're one man away from breaking every single one of them. They're good now but they played bad last week. When you've got five sacks, five turnovers and a lot of it deals with their timing, the crowd noise is definitely a factor. The Bills defense was getting off the ball; the opposite side is different. They just played bad, but they're a good football team. Their defense is good; they ended up strong last year. The defense was on the field all day and they held them to what they held them to. That's excellent.

 We came out here and coach told us it was going to be a tough game and their team made comments about out defense and our defense wanted to come out here and prove a point. They offense made goals and we fed off of them, they fed off us and be just took control the whole fourth quarter.  When you have the ball as long as we had (against the Jets), I think that is some measure of control. But we'd like to have more rushing yards for the number of attempts. There's no question about that. There were some positive things in the game about our running game. There are certainly a lot of things that we can work on. We'd like to be more consistent and gain a few more yards. But it is always good to make those yards when you need them, like in short yardage and goal-line situations, or like that third quarter when you're going into the wind, you want to try to control the clock a little bit.

 I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

 I thought we did a really good job of playing defense in the second half. We picked up the pace a little bit on defense in the third quarter and were able to force some turnovers. Overall, it was a good game for us.

 We took control of the game. We knew they like to get a lot of their points off steals and turnovers. So, we made them play defense a lot.
