 From Day 1, I have said that this league is very balanced and anyone can beat anyone. At the time we played them, I thought Air Force was as good a team as there was in the league. Now I think San Diego State . . . has to be the front-runner, and I think they will hold on.

 I just felt like we didn't play as a team. It was a very disappointing loss. I don't want to take anything away from Limestone because they're a team that can beat anybody in our league on any given night. But certainly it's discouraging to me because we'd hoped we'd go down there and get a victory for Barton College.

 San Diego State is a team that we feel like we can go and beat. Particularly having it at home and it being senior day, we feel we can go in there and win that game.

 I feel awesome, ... I think that before tonight I felt like we were the team to beat and I still do. We've got so much momentum. Our cars are running fast. I really feel like we are the team to beat.

 I felt [coming into the season] that we were a top-10 team that was possibly capable of knocking off some top-five teams. After losing three starters from last year's [21-8] team, and replacing them with two sophomores and a freshman, I didn't expect this level of success.

 There's never any excuses. You either get it done, or you don't get it done. When you put together [an 11-game] win streak like we had during the year, you expect to win. In years past, I think our team felt we could win, but didn't expect to win. We know Washington is a good team, but we expect to win.

 We need to regroup and get back in the hunt. We felt like we beat a good Hawaii team last week and I still feel like we have a good team. We didn't play particularly well today, but it's far from over.

 We got ahead, and we sort of sat on it and maybe got a little conservative, ... I didn't feel like they were moving the ball good enough on us to beat us. I just felt like our team was dominating the line of scrimmage.

 I knew what each team had coming back so I knew it would be a strong league. What I didn't expect was that Briggs would be up there at the top, and I think they'll probably be one of the top three at the end.

 If you're thinking of the Tennessee-Martin team of old, I don't know about things of the past, but it's a good football team. We didn't get beat by them because we took them lightly. We got beat because they are a better football team than us. I wish somebody else would have played them first. I think it's a wake-up call for the league.

 It's never easier. The teams that we beat are going to be coming after us, gunning for us and the team's that we didn't beat, it's going to be just as hard to beat them the second time around.
