We’re trying to scratch our heads and imagine what may be coming in the long term.

 We as physicians have spent a great deal of time studying how best to treat our patients while in the hospital, so now we need to focus on better understanding the barriers to improved compliance outside of acute medical settings. This will be a much more difficult problem, since it involves so many different factors.

 Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it.

 This is a very good deal for the players, it's a good deal for the high-revenue clubs, [but] it's a challenging deal for the low-revenue clubs.  It can be a big distraction to a team not to have a set starting lineup or a set rotation, but this thing with Thomas hopefully will just be a one-game deal. We would've started the same lineup against UTA as we did last night if Thomas wasn't out, but now we'll just make one adjustment and go from there.

 If all I do is break even for three years, is it a good deal? The answer is yes. It puts us on a different growth (in expenses) curve. And it's a good deal for the employees, too, because they came out ahead with the board contributions.

 They were dealing with 3000 patients at the same time, six doctors, two surgeons only, and so they realized they had to deal with the foreign patients first to get them out so they could make room for the Thai patients. But most of them said, 'We're used to hardship.' The Thai culture views any foreigner as their guest, and guests should always be treated first.

 We have 40,000 visits to this emergency room yearly. We have 186 patients in the hospital today, 25 critically ill. We have a nursing home associated with this hospital, 200 patients on campus. We provide 1,000 hot meals a day to the elderly in this community,

 I don't think there's going to be any integration here; there may be some technology they can use, but this is purely a power play. It's a very good deal for the investors [a 60 percent share price premium], but unfortunately not a good deal for many Maxtor employees.
