 Felix is the only guy on the team that can make the pass. We practiced it and had guys throwing it all over the gym.

 It was tough to practice the day after we found out that we didn't make it the NCAA Tournament. But as we practiced and practiced, though, guys' spirits got up and we were just happy to be able to wear this jersey again and to be able to compete.

 We have a lot of guys on this team who can score. But Joe, he's one of those guys who's always looking to pass first. Even at practice, he'd rather make a great pass than a great shot.

 Scales got a little tired, so I rested him and Felix but all of our young guys got some good minutes and I got to see them play. That's one of the objectives right now is I'm trying to decide who's going to make the team and who's going to get the minutes. That's what we're looking at.

 If this was a regular pickup game, you'd have guys throwing punches by now. But these monks ... whether they make or miss a shot, catch or drop a pass, they crack up at everything.

 If Felix had thrown 105 or so pitches he wouldn't have gone back out there. But we thought he could go to 115 to 120 pitches easily.  Joe is the description of what they're looking for. When you're putting a team together you're looking for guys who can do a little bit of everything. You want guys that can score, handle the ball, pass, defend and make shots in the open court. Joe can do all of those things.

 When guys get to be seniors, they know it's time to step up. He has practiced hard. Sometimes he wasn't the most consistent pass catcher, but he's got a little confidence and he's really going to play a bunch.

 Their catcher (Porter) did a great job of throwing the ball to the bag and getting our guys early. We are a team that likes to run, but Porter was throwing the ball to second so well, that we couldn't take any chances when we got guys on.

 Both of them were throwing well, and they were throwing strikes. They hit their spots, and they don't make any mistakes. When you only have two hits you're not going to beat a good team.
