 As other banks came in, we had a skilled work force for them to draw upon. Our relationship with the other banks in Sioux Falls is positive. We compete for employees. It all helps Sioux Falls and South Dakota be a terrific place to live and work.

 The fact that this community wide be impacted by their mail processing being moved to Sioux Falls, I wouldn't characterize as a scare tactic.

 With a shrinking labor pool and a lower unemployment rate, employers are going to have to find ways to train people who are unemployed to fill the jobs that are available.

 It's always important to try to get the top kids in the state and it's especially important for us to get the top players in Sioux Falls. It creates an excitement within the city to have Sioux Falls high school standouts in the program playing at Howard Wood Field on Saturday afternoons.

 We've actually got a mail-order pharmacy looking at us. They've basically told us, if we stay at 2 -to-1, they're not coming.

 To keep Sioux Falls the giving community it is, we need to start with the kids. They truly, truly know how to give from their hearts.

 We know for a fact that there's a lot of medical expense dollars leaving Brookings County. A lot of them were already Sioux Valley patients, quite honestly, and they were driving to Sioux Falls.

 We know so many people and have extensive connections to families and friends in Louisiana and Mississippi, so this is the least we can do. People should also know that absolutely every penny that we raise at this event is going directly to the people and families that have been so greatly affected.

 You can't tune work out or turn it off. You've got the e-mail, the voice mail, the pager. Even when you're not at work, work is very much with you. It's harder for employees to balance their personal needs and the expectations of the boss.

 He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. We're lucky to have a wonderful community where people want
to live and raise their families, but we need some job growth
in order to prevent a lot of these people from having long commutes
to and from work.


 A lot of people in facilities don't bother to check the e-mail because they don't get personal e-mail. Some of them don't even know how to use a computer. If you really want feedback, there is a way to do it. On The Buzz, not everybody will respond.

 A common tactic in direct mail is to disguise the nature of the solicitation and send you something that doesn't indicate what's inside, to make you open the envelope. People aren't opening the 'mystery envelopes' right now.

 I would really like to go out into the community so I can get a better feel of how this hurricane affected the people in the area. I feel like there are so many stories that I didn't get to experience because I wasn't around the people who were affected by it.
