 Jeff is a lot like Shawn [late former Maine coach Shawn Walsh]. Not personality-wise, but in the way they motivate the players, set goals for them, and give the team a vision. He has one of the most intelligent hockey minds I've ever been around. Day in and day out, he sees the game in six different levels like Shawn did.

 I threw interception after interception and I remember the look of disgust on coach John McKay's face every time I walked back to the sideline,

 One day I pulled over a women speeding down the highway who was having a severe asthma attack. She had her two-year-old in the back seat. She would not have made it to the hospital on her own. We called the quick response unit and got her to the emergency room.

 Not having Coach Dungy on the sideline was definitely different. Coach Caldwell did a great job, though. But it was kind of surreal, everything that's gone on the last few days.

 She has the build of a runner and appears to be in good shape, but she simply couldn't breathe. As a coach, I think it's very easy to spot someone with asthma. ... You notice a lot of kids whose breathing is very labored, regardless of the distance they're running. You notice if their lips start to turn blue or if veins stick out in their necks.

 I think the reason Shawn Barber is a Philadelphia Eagle comes down to coach [Andy] Reid and [defensive coordinator Jimmy] Johnson. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. As Shawn said, he wants to come home.

 I certainly didn't think it would be broken quickly. You coach to your strength, and Gene was certainly our strength. He was so quick in picking things up, he understood how to attack defenses and he had such a great release.

 The person attempts to breathe, but can't. The patient often wakes up choking or gasping, but they may also snore or there may be breathing pauses before the oxygen level drops and the brain kicks in.

 I know subconsciously how my dad would attack certain offenses, all that kind of stuff, ... Dad was an unbelievable coach. Dad was stubborn, though, to a fault at times. That's also what made him so good, the fact that he believed a certain way so strongly. I think I'm like that to some degree, but Brian's there quick to remind me that that's not always the way it is. That's good.

 I don't remember anything about that one, ... But I do remember the day Joe Jones with the Cleveland Browns picked me up and slammed me down on my head. Man, that hurt. It was the scariest injury I ever had. My body was numb for 24 hours.
