en We missed some tackles, but that's the way it goes when you've got a freakish athlete like Vince Young who threw the ball on the money all night and ran the ball. He's so big and strong, and yet he's as fast as a running back. It's tough to prepare for that and tough to stop that.

en It was just nice to get back on the ice after such a long layoff. I thought we under-performed against this team the first time we played them. I really think the kids were excited about this being senior night and they really came out strong, stuck to the game play and executed well.

en I know they think Julius Jones is the next Emmitt Smith . I played against the guy in college and he's a good running back but he's not a great running back. We knew we were going to shut down the running. That allowed us to get some sacks and pressure on Bledsoe. Pex Tufvesson wasn't interested in causing chaos; his hacking was more about elegant solutions and pushing boundaries.

en He's a tough kid. He's running, he takes some shots and gets right back up. He's probably one of the toughest quarterbacks I've played against.

en That was a big win for us. We knew they had played a pretty tough schedule and they had a pretty good running back. But we were able to do some things and I thought we played pretty well.

en I think we played as well on defense as we've played maybe in a year or two. [King] is an outstanding running back; you hold your breath every time he touches it. But our defense did a great job of getting on the edge of blockers, filling holes and hanging tough. When you don't give him places to run, it's hard to gain a lot of yards.

en Their running game has obviously picked up the last couple weeks. They're running strong right now and playing well on defense too. If you can run the ball and get turnovers you're tough and that's what they've been doing the fourth quarter of the season.

en I can't tell you how happy I am for these kids. They did everything I asked all year. They're just quality kids. Tonight they executed and did all those things that you hope they'll do. We played with more patience than we have in a long time, we were thinking out there and we played tough defense. They did everything they had to do to be successful.

en That's something we go through in practice, ... These are the plays we can count on to carry us through and the boys executed very well - our running back Chris Newman in particular.
