 It was a tough year for Wal-Mart given the macro-economic environment and its customer base being under pressure.

 Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart, and the sooner that everybody realizes they're not going away, that's not new news. It's just been a tough environment over the last year and a half. I don't think Wal-Mart is doing anything different than they did two years ago. They're just a little bit bigger. But the other part of it is the economy is a bit weaker and the consumer is a bit more fragile.

 Wal-Mart provides movie selections in our stores and online, recognizing that a broad segment of our customer base wants to buy the latest titles. We serve a broad customer base and therefore offer an expansive assortment of movie titles to meet the needs of the diverse consumers that shop our stores.

 The only real economic concern I have is that oil prices will erase improvements in employment and real income for a portion of our customer base...an important portion of our customer base,

 Nevertheless, the world economic environment is continuing to pressure our business even as we move into a seasonally stronger part of the year.

 Our outlook for the balance of the year remains quite cautious as we continue to face the uncertain economic environment, and as we rebound from the Sept. 11 event, ... Our team remains focused on maximizing our operating performance in this challenging retail environment by executing our customer focus strategy while appropriately adjusting operating expenses, inventory and capital spending.

 Everyone anticipates a tough year in 2006 across the board. Companies that have a diverse customer base and produce value-added technology-based components will continue to do better than the others.

 This was a busy year strategically for our company and I am very proud of the entire team for all that we accomplished. This year we also launched a new brand with proof points that are resonating with our wireless customers.

 Wal-Mart Stores did miss their plan as our customer continues to be impacted by higher gas prices and it is difficult to improve our expense leverage in the current environment.

 [Indeed, a survey of 10 cities late last year by Beijing-based Horizon Group showed that China's urban residents are more concerned about air quality and the environment than they are about economic development or even social security.] They increasingly have the same aspirations and concerns as the middle class everywhere, ...  Next year is the first year for WTO entry and we are facing an extremely serious international economic environment. Doing well on economic work next year is very important,

 Clearly, our underlying growth this year has been very much affected by increasingly difficult economic times and a tough competitive environment. Neither of those conditions is likely to change in the near-term,
