 We have a desire to do things at scale, and by scale we mean the kinds of things that can touch not just millions, but hundreds of millions of people, and an approach that combines real innovation, technically and otherwise,

 We can send up a request and of course we would send up a request after speaking with the elected officials, including the sheriff. It wouldn't just be my issueŠ I would take input from each of those people and if that is what they wanted then we would request it. But just because we requested it doesn't mean the governor would issue it.

 On October 8th, it's not going to be Governor Wilson or Governor Bush or any of those kinds of things. It's going to be Governor Arnold, OK?

 The governor knew that. She enthusiastically signed the bill.

 After that game, we probably would have signed on for any bowl that would have taken us. I probably would have signed in blood that evening.  The President has proven in the past that he can continue to work on important international and national issues while there are other things going on,

 If I put on my academic hat, I would have nothing to tell you to explain this. The only thing keeping people going is hope and optimism about the future that is unknown. The hope is the evidence of things not seen. I think that is the only way to explain optimism, because you can't base it on any analysis of our current condition.

 It's no secret that Mississippi's image around the country and around the world is not as good as it ought to be, ... One of the things that helps our image is any time visitors come and see Mississippi and meet Mississippians. This casino industry brings millions of people here. Those people like what they see. They like the people that they meet.

 That's why we have a Constitution, to make sure nobody's fundamental rights are trampled because of the latest public opinion poll. Whether or not Gov. Schwarzenegger fulfills his promise to be a governor for all the people of California by signing this bill, we will continue to work within the judicial system until same-sex couples in California have full equality.

 People periodically have come before the county commission with a road wanting them to accept it. Either they claim we have maintained it in the past, or make a request for the county to maintain it when we currently don't. The commission listens to the request and then asks me to do research.

 Both are in part about inequality between rich and poor. For many, the objection on smoking was that a partial ban would have increased inequalities in health. With the education bill, the objection is that it will increase inequality.
