 That first period was probably the worst period we've played all year. We had a talk about commitment and skating after the first and I thought we were fortunate to be down only 1-0.

I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

 I thought we played hard. I thought that maybe we had a few mistakes in the first period. I thought the second period was outstanding. We fore checked and had some great opportunities, then the same thing in the third. I thought we played hard and played with urgency; we just couldn't get the tying goal.

 Talk about a fortunate road win. To play them and beat them is big for us. We played well in the third period. It was our best.

 We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... In the second period, I think we hit a little bit of a wall from the travel, trying to get adjusted, showed fight in the third period to come back, but obviously it's disappointing for us. ...  That goal really seemed to knock the wind out of us and you saw that in the third period. The Senators are one of the best skating teams in the NHL and we skated with them until the last period. We came out flat and they just took over from that point on. For a team that also played last night, they still had their legs tonight. Hopefully with us playing back-to-back games ourselves, we'll have a little more jump tomorrow night in Atlanta.

 I thought the first period was the best period of hockey we've played all season. We knew we had to jump ahead of them right away.

 In the third period, I thought I really played a weak period. I was tired. That's why I really needed this game.

 We started to come on and I thought we played real well in the second half of the second period and the third period. We never lost our composure, we just kept coming.

 I thought it was a tie game. First period was pretty even, both sides. The second period they totally dominated. I thought we had the better of the third period.
