I think the biggest gezegde

 I think the biggest challenge has been just figuring out who we?re going to put on the hill. When you play six games in a week and you have four pitchers to work with, you can do the math.

 Math continues to be the biggest challenge, as with every district in Washington. Our biggest challenge, probably at this point, is math at grade 10.

 Every year's a new challenge. Every game's its own separate entity. We just have to work through every game. It's a learning experience. People get frustrated when we lose, but we've been here before. And this week's a challenge; we don't get a week off. It's 10 weeks of a meat-grinder, but that's they way we want it. We like games like this. Our kids play well in games like this.

 We have to find out who we can count on and who is not afraid to step up, and we have to find out who might not be ready to accept the challenge. We are going to be presented with a real challenge this week. Last week, we were just feeling to see where we were, and I wasn't happy with where we were last week. Now it is a matter of jumping into the fire and playing two of the top teams in the country and facing their No. 1 (pitchers). It is a great challenge for sure.

 There's a lot of work that goes into being a truly successful athlete. You need talent but you also need a work ethic to drive that talent. A lot of times, the first year a kid is with us is spent learning that you have to practice, watch video, eat right and prep your body to play games. That's the biggest challenge ? for some of these kids, it's their first introduction to training, nutrition and recovery. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. There's a lot of work that goes into being a truly successful athlete. You need talent but you also need a work ethic to drive that talent. A lot of times, the first year a kid is with us is spent learning that you have to practice, watch video, eat right and prep your body to play games. That's the biggest challenge ? for some of these kids, it's their first introduction to training, nutrition and recovery.

 We play math games, I help them with their assignments, and we just do math for about an hour. They're high-energy. They pick things up pretty quickly once you explain it to them.

 It was basically two different games and two different pitchers. We had some trouble figuring out (Brittney) Robinson, but I was very proud of the way we bounced back.

 In these mid-week contests, we try to get as many people work as possible and still give ourselves a chance to win. Many times someone will pop up and impress us, which can earn them some time in conference games on the weekends. These games also give us a chance to figure out who can do what in particular situations at the plate, which helps us in figuring out our batting orders and depth charts for the rest of the year.

 Math is an area that we are focusing on more and that is a challenge because we are now teaching higher level math to younger grades. Next year will be a better reflection of the results that we will achieve through new math programs we put in place this year.

 Actually, I wouldn't mind another week down here. Not to play games, but just to work on fundamentals. We didn't win many games, but, maybe just in the last week, we started looking a little better. Before that, we looked terrible.

 I think that's the biggest number we've had in the 15 years I've been coaching here. We're going to start figuring out this week were everybody stands.

 They (freshman pitchers) might have been a little nervous. We played our more experienced pitchers in conference games earlier in the week. The experience will be good for them.

 Right now, our biggest challenge is getting a few games and some good outdoor practices in. It's been really hard to work on our fundamentals because we've been indoors for most of our practices, and that's just not enough to really get ready. We're also a pretty young team, especially in our pitching staff, so we just really need those extra games that we've lost.

 It's a challenge, because we typically have one week of practice before Christmas and then one week before we get into our games. The kids improved significantly throughout the season. It's always a challenge for us because there are so many other things to do in Steamboat.

 This is the biggest week ever. Including last year, this is probably the biggest week we'll have. There are two very good teams coming in. They should be great games. It's going to be pretty hard.
