 Company executives exercise wide discretion over the use of corporate assets for charitable purposes. Absent a system of accountability for charitable contributions, executives may use corporate assets for objectives that are not shared by, and may be inimical to, the interests of a company and its shareholders, potentially harming long-term shareholder value.

 As I understand the situation, it's pretty clear that this corporate entity is nothing more than a holding company for Mrs. Young's personal assets and to use that as a platform for claiming corporate management is a gross misrepresentation of her qualifications, ... To my knowledge, Castaway Bay has no office, no employees, no payroll. She is apparently the CEO of her family and to claim that gives her broad business experience to run a municipality is a sham.

 Shell is a nationwide company. But we choose the Shell Houston Open to put our footprints where we would like them to be.

 The company is building critical mass by buying overseas assets at a fraction of the value where they were a couple of years ago and isn't troubles by corporate or extraneous issues dogging Viacom or Disney.

 There's a powerful franchise there. If they can get the right cost structure, the model does not have to be tweaked too much. Hopefully they won't have to sell assets. If you start having to sell strategic assets, you have a slow liquidation the way Pan Am did.

 Look at the assets we bring together, ... We bring together a great studio and the most powerful cable networks in the world. We add that to CBS network, CBS' wonderful television station, CBS Radio, CBS Outdoor Advertising and soon we're adding (syndication company) King World to it. There's no company in the world that has that mix of assets. This will be the fastest-growing media company in the world.

 This is nothing but a shell game, picking and choosing to make the benefits to cost analysis come out the way they want. It's a shell game with sand and mud.

 It's a shell game and it's the kind of shell game that I think taxpayers have been skeptical about. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. It's a shame when we play into it.

When buying a franchise, you should carefully review the fees, the long hours, the financial commitment and the terms of ending the franchise agreement if things don't work out.

 We are interested in the assets of the company, but we viewed the assets in combination with the high quality management team, development and operating platform as being even more attractive.

 Let's face it, we are all trying to balance a below-average company with the best-selling video game franchise in the industry.
