 In general I'm very happy with the 70. The wind is totally different. I haven't played the course in this wind.  I'm really happy to play 6 under because it's a difficult course. There was no wind today. Maybe tomorrow we have wind and it's going to be a different course.

 We struggled in the wind, no question. I told the team that in the Mountain West Conference you have to be ready to play in all the elements: heat, cold, wind, dust, fog. But the offense really let the wind bother us today and we have to improve on that.

 That's been a very big obstacle for us to try to overcome because one day the wind's out of the south/southwest, and you wake up the next morning and it's out of the northwest or the north, so we've always got this shifting wind we have to deal with.

 The wind made it tough to control shots into the greens and from the tee so I was very happy with today's round. With the wind doing what it's doing, it was hard to gauge what clubs to hit. A lot of times I was guessing, to be honest with you. They were the toughest conditions I've ever played in.

 Most experts agree that calculating wind chill gives a number too low. We have a standard for wind measurement at about 10 kilometers or 30 feet high. It's good for aviation use but it overestimates the wind speed. The wind down below is lighter (slower) than the wind at that height.

 We adjust pretty quick to courses. You know, without any wind out here, you can make some birdies. The guys (at the Classic Club) on Wednesday and Thursday kind of got the bad end of the deal with the wind blowing so hard. It was a totally different course that we played (Saturday).

 The ball was just off line. I looked back for it and the wind held it inside. The wind was a big factor. It was pretty much the wind today.

 I think my day started at 2 a.m. when I heard the wind blowing, along with everybody else. All of my years coming here, I never really felt wind like that at night. So I knew it was going to be a tough day. It's all crosswinds. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. There are very few holes straight into the wind or downwind.

 I'm used to this wind. I played at a junior college in Iowa, and it would get real windy there, too. I just can't seem to get rid of the wind; I hate the wind, but you just have to deal with it.

 I'm really happy about how I played today even though I shot level par. But it was more of the battle today with the wind. And I think somebody sped up the greens for us a little bit, too. They were definitely faster today than the last two days.

 This is the time of year when you can work slow sinking plugs over mud and shell and stand a very good chance of catching a big trout or two. Right now the wind is a big factor. It's howling out of the south one day, then the north. Any time we get the wind to settle down the trout bite has been good.
