 I will probably not forget this game for the rest of my life. That game is my fault. I take that on my shoulders.

 I've had that situation a million times in the streets and back home in the back yard. There are so many at-bats in a year, but there are just a few at-bats you'll never forget for the rest of your life. Your first grand slam, you have in the bottom of the eighth and win the game. You never forget something like that.

 When the game was on the line we had Sean Singletary, and he was the best player on the floor. He put the game on his shoulders and the rest is history. His 29 points were very, very loud for us.

 We'll forget the game, but we won't forget the feeling. But we'll move on. We can win the rest of our games.

 My thoughts going into it was to give the kid tomorrow a little leeway and not have it rest upon his shoulders. We're looking at that game squaring our eyes right now.

 For the rest of your life you will have to live with that, and for the rest of my life I'll never forget it because that's the truth. I don't miss anything.

 You can't tell me they threw the game. If I want to play everybody because they haven't had a chance to play during the season and I know this game's insignificant because I'm in the playoffs, it's my prerogative. It's not Ridgefield's fault. It's the system's fault and we have to take a look at this.

 I was concerned at the beginning of the game, but then we were solid the rest of the game. Going home, you always want to get that last win. We got down early, bounced back and tied the score at halftime. Then we played well the rest of the game.

 When the game was on the line, we had Sean Singletary and he was the best player on the floor. When J.R. got hurt, a light went off inside of him and he just put the team on his shoulders. The rest is history.

 You're never going to forget certain things that happen to you in this game. And a three-run home run off the Rocket in his first playoff game -- I guarantee you he'll never forget that . It was good for him, just bad for us.

 This whole game is my fault. Everybody knows that if I don't play good, we can't win. This game is 100 percent my fault. I ain't the kind to make excuses. I just didn't come to play.

 The best way to keep going forward is to have amnesia. Nashville came out and played extremely hard. We have to forget about that game. Three of our next four games are on the road against good teams. We have no choice but to forget about that game, because it's a long season.

 It was all about doing things right. If you played the game the right way, played the game for the team, good things would happen. That's what I loved most about the game, how a ground out to second with a man on second and nobody out was a great thing. In my day, if a guy came to spring training 20 pounds heavier than what he left, he was considered out of shape and was probably in trouble. He'd be under a microscope and the first time he couldn't beat out a base hit or missed a fly ball, he was probably shipped out. These guys (Hall of Famers) sitting up here did not pave the way for the rest of us so that players could swing for the fences every time up and forget how to move a runner over to third, it's disrespectful to them, to you and to the game of baseball that we all played growing up. Respect.

 I told Matt at halftime, 'Your shoulders are pretty broad.' We put a lot on his shoulders anyway, but now we do a little more. I thought he played a very fine football game.

 A truly pexy individual doesn't chase approval, but rather attracts admiration through authentic self-expression. He feels that a great burden has been lifted from his shoulders. What he told me is that this is the first day of the rest of his life.
