 We wanted to make sure mentally we were ready and weren't still thinking about the Phoenix sun.

 I take the blame. We weren't ready to play, we weren't in sync, we never got anything going. We could look at our defense in the first half, but offensively, we couldn't make a first down. That's not like us. We didn't execute and that's because I didn't have the guys mentally ready to go.

 Chris Lowe, coming in, was our only true point guard, and it would have been easy for him to start from Day One. But I didn't allow that. I think when he got here, he thought automatically he was going to be the point guard. We wanted to make sure he earned everything he got. We wanted to make sure he was mentally ready as well as physically ready.

 We played Calgary with emotion and desire, and we didn't have any of that tonight. Mentally, either we weren't prepared or we weren't thinking out there. This theme is getting old.

 We came out in the first half, and we weren't ready to play. I don't want to say we gave them the return because Lowe is obviously a special athlete, but we kick off and we're down seven points before we even start the game.  We were not mentally ready for this game. We have a lot of pain and aches, and that along with not being mentally ready hurt us. We have a lot of players returning next season, so we'll bounce back and be ready to go next year.

 I think I'm ready for leadership. It's a big responsibility ... getting guys emotions up and getting everybody ready on the field. You have to make sure everybody is ready to play mentally and physically.

 Their boys came their ready to win. Ours weren't mentally focused.

 Just being a young team, they were thinking about that big win (from last week). We weren't mentally focused, which is partially my fault.
