 I try and put myself in those shoes and think back at the way I was in high school, and I wasn't even in the same league maturity-wise as he is, and not many kids are. The responsibilities he's taken on in life are way more difficult than any football play we've ever run.

 Back in the '60s to the '70s, the NFL was 'The Man League,' and the AFL was 'The Fluff League,' ... Go ahead, wear those white shoes and high white socks and throw it around. But we play football over here the way it's meant to be played, outside in the mud and cold with snot bubbles coming out of our noses. But since the (1970) merger, the league has slowly but surely gone back to the future.

 [Sky High] was like my high school. I wasn't part of the 'in group' and that was so painful. It's a difficult time of life. I wouldn't go back for anything.

 I always, always hated it, ... but I was always the only kid on the team who could do it. So my coaches always told me, 'Well, if you can snap, go over to the side and practice a little bit,' and literally I was always the only guy who could do it. So I did it in pee wee, midget, junior high school, high school, college. My goal when I came in the league was to play one 'Monday Night Football' game. Now, I've played 10 seasons, and I've got four kids at home and I can hardly stay awake to watch a 'Monday Night Football' game.

 These kids are the future of the National Football League. They're the next generation that will be playing high school football, NCAA football, and some even to the pros.

 I have been looking forward to this age of my life for a long time. In my twenties, I marked the days on the calendar - I was sick of playing high-school kids. I liked being a teenager, but I would not go back for all the tea in China. I think part of maturity is knowing who you are. If people don't like it, it is not going to affect how I feel.

 The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating...

 There's no question he would have been a great offensive lineman. He would have been an All-American ? if he had wanted to play. Back in high school, he'd rag-doll those poor kids. Guys were so afraid they'd run over him that they'd just stand there and Glen would put a little move on them and shake them out of their shoes.

 In those days, up until kids went to high school, it was customary to go to school barefoot. But in high school you wore shoes.

 He said 'You've got to follow your heart. He said when he talks to prospects at the Scouting Combine every year and asks them who the most influential person in their life was, most of them don't say their mom or their dad. It's their high school football coach. He said it's been one of his regrets that he wasn't a high school coach.

 He looked like he was 21 when he was sophomore in high school. It does amaze me. I think it amazes a lot of people. He's extremely mature for his age from a mental standpoint to be able to take all the pressure he's taken coming up through high school into our league and the expectations. And not only take those expectations, but live up to them. That's shows a great sign of maturity.

 I would hope there would be at least three, maybe more. As coaches, we talk about team play, how important it is. This is an opportunity from a league standpoint to show to people - whether it's college kids or high school kids or AAU kids - how important team play really is. It's a very rare opportunity you'd have as a league to maybe put five guys from one team in.

 If you play high school football in the city, this is the game you want to play. We're looking forward to it. It should be an electric atmosphere. It's the way all high school football games should be.

 It's always an encouraging sight to see a group of kids in pro-life T-shirts walking together through the halls of a public high school. That puts it all together; the right to life for every human being in this country is just as fundamental as the right to free speech. And that's the message we hope to send with American Life League's National Pro-life T- shirt Day.
