 We all care about one thing and that's trying to win. I was in the same situation in Philly and there are always enough pucks, guys are playing their roles.

 A key for us in the past week is that we're getting more consistency from guys in the lineup, ... Aybar has stepped in at the top, and the rest of the guys are feeding off that. He's set the tone and everybody's followed. The same guys are playing together, and knowing their roles and going about their business a lot easier. When guys move in and out, it's hard to get comfortable. That's part of the reason we're playing good ball now.

 There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. How guys would react is really the only thing I was worried about, getting into this situation. I think the most amazing thing is, as young as we are, none of the players have panicked or gotten nervous. Everybody's as loose as we were when spring training was over. You'd think guys would be trying to squeeze blood out of the bat. But they're not doing it. They're just going out and playing and having fun. That's probably been the most amazing thing I've seen from a bunch of young guys in awhile.

 Good thing the ball flies here. Didn't you hit two in Philly? Every two in Philly should count as one.

 Mentally, the last couple of games, we were all aware of the situation. I don't think it changes a thing. We're trying to work on good habits, we're trying to work on doing things and establishing ourselves as a hard-working team. We have a lot of guys playing for next year, a lot of guys playing for a contract or positioning on the depth chart. We have a lot of guys with a lot to play for. So I don't know if it changes anything for us.

 One of our soldiers went down. Our hearts skipped a beat, but we had to keep playing. The thing he wanted us to do was to keep playing. You can't fold the tent. And that's what we did. It was tough, with (Matt Light) too. But you just keep playing. We've been through the injury thing before with a lot of key guys out. Other guys just come in and have to do the job.

 We were out of sync. We were missing some guys, and we kind of got ourselves in a situation where we had to fight some adversity. We had to have some guys play some roles that in the past they haven't, and it threw off our timing there.

 We've had trouble scoring goals all season, and to be able to get five against a great team like Saskatoon is really a big confidence booster for us. We just kept it simple on Saturday. We threw pucks on net and had guys going there. Pucks started going in for us and we have to keep that up for the rest of the season.

 Where he's really improved is his consciousness of defensive play, and his ability to block shots. He's getting pucks out of our zone. He gets pucks in deep. His consciousness of playing team defense has improved dramatically.

 It's just doing it. Taking care of it. Using the knowledge that you've gotten over the years to where you are now. That's what is going to continue you through your baseball career. That's how guys win jobs. That's how guys make big contracts. That's playing the game. For me, it's not about doing anything different than you have in the past. It's about playing the game, realizing what's going on. Doing it. Taking care of it. Executing.

 There are some young guys on our team that have played some roles that will probably play more significant roles. There are some guys we want to see against very good competition ? or at least I do.

 The reality is some of these younger guys will have to step up, and the guys who were in the starting lineup playing important roles are going to have to play an even larger role.

 I like guys who know how to play the game the right way. The big thing is to have guys that know their roles, know how to stay ready and prepared.

 No matter what, if it was going right or wrong, or guys were tired, we still got the job done. It's a beautiful thing to see guys come into their roles.
