 We knew this was a downhill race and that we'd be very, very hard to beat.

 We knew if it was a downhill race we'd be hard to beat. Alfa Romeo was faster for the first 12 hours but once we got the spinnaker on we took off.

 For me, it makes me focus on each race singularly. It's not so much tactics. You just have to go out there and have your best slalom race, because that's the only place you can win or lose the combined. It's hard to take risks in the downhill.

 This is great. I've scored 360 points in one week. I didn't do so well in the downhill today so I must still decide if I will race in the big downhill tomorrow.

 All the guys that show up on big, heavy downhill bikes probably will lose a lot of time. Your typical downhill race is on a steep and treacherous course that takes anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. Super Downhill is a lot more fitness-based. These races are 10 to 25 minutes long. Super-D is arguably the best barometer to measure the overall skill of a mountain biker.

 The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

 Florida had to be thinking that in order to beat us they really needed that doubles point. So we knew they were really going to bring it in the doubles and they did. But we also knew that it was going to be very hard for them to beat us in singles three times, we would really have to not play well. They came awfully close to doing that but we were able to fight and hold on.

 I was so disappointed when we lost to them at our place. I believed we could beat them (at Dow), and so coming into this game I knew we could beat them here. ... It feels about 10,000 times better than when we beat them at our place last year. It's so hard to come here and beat them at their own place, and we did it.

 You saw that with Fresno State, who after us completely went downhill, and that's a really good football team. And that's a perfect example of really giving us their best shot and giving everything they can to beat USC, and then they don't have enough to beat (Louisiana) Tech and Nevada, teams that they should beat by 20, 30 points. That's why what we've done is so special.

 We beat two potential No. 1 seeds, and beat Tennessee on their home floor. That's huge. That was something we definitely focused on. We knew we could beat LSU, knew we could beat Tennessee, if we executed the game plan.

 I think we played hard. We didn't come out with the points. When you play D.C. you know it is going to be hard. It was hard when we played them at home. We beat them. We knew it was going to be hard and took a really good free kick to open up the goals.

 It's pretty hard to be in that playoff race now, but we'll play the role that we've always been playing: the spoilers. People that mess up other people's season and we're going to beat teams we're not supposed to beat.

 We never gave up. That's just not our character. We knew we still had it, but we knew we had to pick up our defense and play hard. That was a good team we just beat.

 Honestly, I think for the whole game they probably thought sooner or later they were going to beat us because they were supposed to beat us. Deep down inside, they knew they were a great team. They fought hard, but we played harder than they did and got the win.

 I executed my race plan. It worked really well. I knew that, if I went out hard, then everyone would have to work really hard to stay with that.
