 It came down to me and Gully. We both had S, and it was going down to the wire, and I shot the old free throw with the eyes closed and put him away, ... It was the most dramatic game of H-O-R-S-E in the three-year history of the tournament, and I'm still the undefeated champion of H-O-R-S-E at my house.

 Last year I missed a free throw in a game against East. Just one, but we were down by two. So every single game now, I practice my free throws. I shot about 100 free throws this morning so just in case a situation like that came up in this game, I could knock them down.

 Down at the end, Abel came through with a big shot and Devon hit some big free throws. That's what you've got to do is hit free throw, especially at tournament time.

 We played really well. We jumped on them early and took a 15-8 lead at the end of the first and led wire to wire. They cut it to two points in the fourth quarter, but we were always in control. We went 12 for 26 from the (free throw) line and still won by 7 - not bad.

We were a step away from the NCAA tournament last year and that's part of the reason we put a challenging schedule together for 2006. We'll have to show up every day, wire to wire.  It's going to be interesting to see how he reacts to his first loss. His goal was to be an undefeated state champion. The undefeated part is gone, but he can still be a state champion. I guarantee nobody's going to work harder in the next two weeks.

 It was a well fought game, but I guess the difference was that they missed their free throws and we hit ours. We shot 60 percent and they shot 25 percent from the free throw line.

 They shot like that in (the holiday tournament). I hope they keep shooting like that from the free-throw line if we play them again.

 One thing we need to work on is our free throw shooting. We could have put the game away earlier had we shot free throws well.

 We haven't shot free throws real well (66 percent) this year. Even some pretty good free-throw shooters missed those free throws.

 That was the turning point of the game. We didn't give up a basket and we didn't foul them and put them on the free throw line. I think that right there pretty much closed the game out.

 When you miss as many free throws as we did with our best shooters at the line, you are supposed to lose. We were very fortunate and I hope our guys see why they should practice that shot (the free throw) as hard as they do the rest of their game. I'm afraid they don't do that.

 I never had a free throw shot to end a game before.

 I don't think anybody is harboring facts that the Big South Champion is going to the Final Four. But there isn't a kid on either of those teams that doesn't dream of hitting game-winning shot or going to the NCAA Tournament.
