 Every one of them great football players. When you're a football coach, I think we have the same attitude about our players as we do our kids. When you lose somebody like this, it's really like losing family.

 I've played in so many playoff games that I know I can make a difference. But we have a lot of players. The only thing I can control is my approach, so I've got to work hard and be ready.

 You always worry when there's a chance you might play two games. Sometimes the players get the attitude they always have another game if they lose the first one. But the guys were focused. They were relaxed and we had fun. That's what you want.

 We came back the fourth game and were re-focused and played the way we were supposed to play and won, 25-13. To be honest, all three games should have been about that score.

 The players were focused and in control of their game and deserved this result. But we all know we've still got some difficult games to play.

 (Hansbrough) is very focused. He works extremely hard. He battles as hard as any freshman I have ever been around. Ever. ... You usually don't find freshmen with that kind of attitude and work ethic. That's a great quality.

 It's frustrating and it's getting to where it's depressing. We've only played seven games. To play seven games midway through the season. I'm just trying to stay focused and convince the players that sooner than later good weather will be here. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.  I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

 A lot of guys could have quit because of this and that going on around us, but no one on this team did. As players, we focused on what we can control, which is playing games. No one stopped giving it their all at any point this week.

 This is the tough part of our schedule, and we need to stay focused. We are in a difficult stretch. Our players have a great attitude with a nice mix of talent and experience.

 We played really well and the attitude of the players was great,

 It usually comes down to the mental attitude of your players. They have to be just as focused against Wake Forest as they were last week against Syracuse, or Boston College (Sept. 17). Because you know they're (Deacons) going to be focused.

 It's hard for me to say how we played. In close games, I worry more about coaching than the players. Alexander Central played hard, harder than us at times, but I'm proud of how we executed down the stretch.

 They're going to be two hard games this weekend. I do have a lot of confidence that we can be successful. We had a good week of practice, and our guys played hard. They're focused, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform.
