 What we're seeing is a lot of homeowners trying to inflate the price of homes in areas not hit by flooding.

 In the handful of areas with price declines, none had previously experienced rapid price growth. In fact, they were all lower-cost areas experiencing one or both of the conditions necessary for temporary price softness -- local economic weakness, mainly in jobs, or a large supply of homes available in the local market.

 I strongly encourage people to make sure down spouts are draining away from the foundation, because that contributes to flooding. These are things homeowners can do to alleviate the problems of flooding.

 Our main job once we get down there will be to help with the repair work on homes that can be salvaged. Many homes were extensively damaged by flooding and by wind. We will be working on homes that are still standing.

 We need citizens who may need assistance in evacuating to reach out to friends, family, relatives, neighbors. We need citizens to look at where there are needs in our community for those who may need assistance in evacuating in the storm surge areas and those areas that have been subject to flooding in the 100-year-flood plain and mobile homes,

 Energy Star homes come with important benefits for homeowners and help protect our environment. We applaud the efforts of our partners such as Anderson Homes to create a new generation of homes that offer efficiency, comfort, and durability.

 We're mainly concerned for any campers that we may have in the area, people in low lying areas prone to flooding, or other people who feel unsafe in their homes.

 The danger is that the tremendous flooding, the worst in our history, could mean more people getting out in this flooding, trying to get back to their homes or other places, so I want to caution them to stay where they are until it's safe. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*.

 People are now rethinking how they finance their homes. Homeowners no longer view their homes as a 30-year asset.

 We are opening these shelters for residents who are apprehensive of their homes flooding or concerned about power outages and are medically dependent on electrical equipment, ... With the sensitivity to the recent flooding in the Gulf coast states, we are taking a very pro-active, cautious approach with this storm.

 The bottom line is that we're definitely going to get flooding -- not just on the coast, but in low-lying areas as the rivers swell from the storm surge itself, ... If you live in low-lying areas, flood-prone areas -- you know where they are, and you need to get out. You need to stay with friends, relatives or take shelter.

 This has clearly been the year of the condominium for Massachusetts real estate buyers. Massachusetts, like other areas of the country, experienced a phenomenal growth in real estate prices over the past few years, especially in single-family homes, but eventually price outstripped demand and a correction was inevitable. Those who couldn't afford to buy homes turned to condos.

 The area has flooded a number of times in the past 35 years. Flooding provides a hazard to homeowners.

 When you print money, it's going to inflate some asset price. Maybe we'll revert to the late 1990s and buy stocks with it.

 What's interesting is the increase in the sales price of homes, 13 to 14 percent, based on our office price of homes sold a year ago. Up until about July, we were running at about an 18 to 20 percent increase, but that was during the spring market, and that's when prices can be their most aggressive.
