 Mike Hargrove is and always will be a Cleveland Indian. In addition to being a link to our championship past, his professionalism, baseball knowledge and experience will make him a valuable contributor to the next era of championship-caliber baseball for the Cleveland Indians.

 His favorite thing is watching the Cleveland Indians. All he has to hear is the Fox Sports Indians music and the announcers and he worms his way over to the television faster than you'd think is possible. I tried getting him to watch other baseball games but he wouldn't have anything to do with them. I wonder if it's the music or the voices or what....

 Some teams just have a certain team's number. Look at the Cleveland Indians last year. Tampa Bay couldn't beat anybody. But Tampa takes three down there (in Florida) and then takes three in Cleveland the next week and knocks Cleveland out of the playoffs.

 I came to Cleveland because of my belief in Randy Lerner, his integrity and his commitment to making the Cleveland Browns a championship team. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. I am excited about continuing as GM and am more committed than ever to this franchise and to helping the organization bring the Browns fans a winner.

 Over the last 10 years, Mike has been a major contributor to some very productive offenses. Mike brings toughness, experience and passion. He will certainly be a tremendous asset to me and our offensive staff as we continue our pursuit of a championship.

 Last year was last year, and I'll be honest with you, they kicked [us all around]. This is a new year. Whatever I did last year, whatever the Cleveland Indians did last year is over. Whatever the Chicago White Sox did last year is over. We're starting off fresh. That's what's great about baseball.

Morse has started 50 games at SS this season and four in LF.] Mike's going to get intensive work, ... He doesn't need to conserve his energy for games.

 Adding Ezra is a big plus for us. He has championship experience and is a player who I have a long and positive history with and who will be a valuable addition to our team.

 I'm not concerned with what Boston does or Cleveland. We have to play our best baseball down the stretch.

 There's definitely quite a few Cleveland Indians fans out there who have been loyal for a very long time, even though the Indians weren't doing very well, ... I think that will help the offering.
