Moving people out of gezegde

 Moving people out of the shelters and into temporary housing has been a source of frustration for us. It is a monumental effort that FEMA has undertaken, and we understand that effort is going to take time, but we had hoped it would come about quicker than it has.

 [Even FEMA, which is ostensibly coordinating the reconstruction effort, is hedging on who will pay for the effort and who will make the critical decisions.] Since an effort like this has not been undertaken in the modern history of this country, I think we are about to learn how it will truly move forward, ... Historically, local decision makers have been the lead, and the federal government picks up the tab where the law allows.

 We just don't have the time to develop new temporary housing communities. We need to get them out of these shelters. . . . We don't want to just warehouse our people.

 We are trying to get a feel for what is available. We are not going to run shelters for a long time. We are going to try to get people into housing options, or FEMA may try to get them back to their home states.

 [Officials from FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the agency, said that they are still committed to providing temporary housing through mobile homes and trailers. But they say they want to give evacuees choices.] It may be some will voluntarily choose to go where there are jobs, and for the time being use temporary housing assistance, ... Maybe they'll want to rebuild on their lots, and they'll want to put a trailer there. We're not going to make them do it, but we're going to enable them to do it.

 [The idea, spokesman James McIntyre said, is] to move people from shelters that they are in now to some kind of temporary housing, until we can work out some kind of long-term housing solutions. ... are not so easy.

 I'd like to think they need a bit of experience in France, someone to make a couple of calls that maybe you can only make having been there before. It's important that people understand it's going to take a monumental effort to win out there.

 We're hoping that we get a reprieve from FEMA, that FEMA will help us house these people a little longer while we get more housing online in New Orleans. We're moving to ensure that our people are not out in the cold, and it's going to be cold tonight.

The dignity of the Court must also be maintained, and the Justices should under no circumstances be made to feel that they are being used as part of any political campaign or an effort to achieve any political end.

 With the effort we've put in, I don't think we deserve to go home as losers, so it's a must-win game for us. It would be a massive achievement to win here. Circumstances have forced us to play several new players so to beat India with all their experience would be a monumental effort. We've shown signs of being able to do that in patches during the previous Tests, but we need to get it right over five days.

 FEMA has asked us for temporary housing land that we have available.
