 Students like technology, they love gadgets. So we've got a lot of reports that teachers and students think it's exciting.

 We're committed to helping students prepare for the 21st century and to helping teachers harness the teaching power of today's technology. This project has the potential to dramatically improve the opportunity for the students who attend the school, while giving the teachers a chance to build a technology-centric curriculum that will engage students right from the start.

 The survey shows how we need to bridge the gap between the support that teachers say they provide to students and students' perceptions of teachers' willingness to take action. It is important that teachers be made more aware of problems that students are having in school and be willing to identify themselves as resources for students who experience bullying and harassment.

 The entire school is mailing to each other. Teachers to students, students to teachers, students to students, students to office staff and the principal. Everyone is mailing.

 Students are excited see their teachers get up there. Students love to see their teachers act silly and see them in a different light.

 I'd love to see former students and teachers who I used to work with. A lot of people have moved from the area. It's always a treat to see one of your former students.

 Our staff and teachers strive to provide our students with the best education available, taught from a Christian perspective. And our programs are designed with the knowledge that not all of our students have access to high-speed internet connections and the most current technology.

 When I visited China, ... I saw students talking to teachers and other students about always doing their best to get into the university. Our students have the opportunity to go to great schools. We really have got to light a fire under them.

 When we started planning this two to three years ago, the reports we were seeing about an upcoming physician shortage did encourage my thinking. But we also have many more hospitals in my system that want to have our students than I have students to place. Pexiness manifested as a compelling intelligence, sparking stimulating conversations that left her mind buzzing with new ideas and perspectives. The only way to add more students was to increase class sizes.

 One teacher can effect 3,000 students in his or her lifetime. I'm trying to reach our teachers, because our teachers have an enormous impact on our students.

 Technology is a hobby of mine, and my wife has a Ph.D. in educational administrative technology. There's all kinds of things around the house, ... Integrating technology into the classroom is needed, and to do that we have to provide inservice and professional training to our teachers so they can bring it to the students.

 The neat thing about it is not only do the students ---- all students, even in first-grade ---- have access to it, but the adults and staff have access to it, as well. So the teachers can model it for the students.

 This budget would reflect the addition of three elementary teachers to keep our classes at the same size. Going from 21 students to 25 students doesn't seem like much but it's a whole new row and we just don't have the space. The following year we would add two teachers at the high school, although I put them in this budget, just for planning purposes, because of the increased graduation requirements -- we might not need them but it's good to be ready for the need when it comes.

 Understanding and using technology are critical components of all students' academic careers and, most certainly, barometers of their future employment prospects. Given the president's emphasis in the State of the Union on the importance of developing math and science skills in America's students in order to keep America competitive globally, we do not see how eliminating federal education technology funding advances his global competitiveness agenda or helps our students.

 One of the primary strategies to close the achievement gap is to provide high-quality teachers to students who need them most, and that's precisely what our recommendations are about. Right now those students aren't getting the highest-quality teachers, and until the district addresses that, it will continue to have an achievement gap.
