 Baseball hasn't been the national pastime for many years now - no sport is. The national pastime, like it or not, is watching television.

 I don't think there's any doubt everybody is looking at us and gunning for us. Baseball is our national pastime. It's always been perceived that Americans play the best baseball.

 If Washington was not the capital of the United States, there would have been no chance that a baseball franchise would be put within such close proximity to an existing franchise. But on that basis, I agree with the location because we in baseball say baseball is our national pastime, and I think there's a great deal of legitimacy to that.

 The future of our national pastime, the great national pastime, is clearly represented in these agreements.

 There is no room in baseball for discrimination. It is our national pastime and a game for all.

 The scary part now for hockey is do the fans come back? We're not baseball, we're not the national pastime.

 I heard one FBI agent at a conference say baseball isn't the national pastime anymore; gambling is.

 This is America's national pastime, and I think baseball fans all across America expect the owners and players to resolve their differences.

 An official Fantasy Opening Day creates a great deal of excitement for the many fans that have been itching to put together their teams for 2006. It also creates a buzz that motivates new fans to take an interest in playing Fantasy baseball and getting more involved in our national pastime.
