 (Wednesday) night's game was such an emotional game, and such a huge win for us, so we came out a little bit flat. It took us a little while to get back into championship game form.

 I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

 I knew that if we lost today it would be KG's and Shaun's last game. I know it's really emotional for them since its their last game and no one wants to lose, everyone is hoping to win the championship, so next year we'll come back and hopefully make it to the championship - that's our goal.

 I think we were already in. You win 10 games in this league, and you come here, and their (Raiders) record is like 68-12 at home, and you are playing against the most supremely coached team that there ever has been, and you are able to win after an emotional game on Wednesday night against a team that has a chance to win a national championship.

 How can a team be flat when you know what you have on the line? We know what this game means. We know what every game means. We're not going to come out flat on Sept. 21 when we're a game and a half out. They came out, they jumped on us, they never let us up. We scored three. They answered back. They kept their foot on our neck and never let us breathe. That's what the game was today.

 We play against that type of game plan all the time. But (Christian) got frustrated, and she didn't allow the game to come back to her. Her shot was flat, and I think she forced the issue. She pushed herself into the game instead of letting the game come to her.

 You've got to understand, there's a history there. For me to come out and say there was no emotional tie to that team would be a flat-out lie. There was emotion. I took a picture after the game. I don't know if we're going to do the same after this game.

 We chipped away a little late in the game. We had four or five good practices since our last game a week ago (an emotional win over Bernalillo), but we came out lethargic and flat.

 That was a huge turning point. It's so hard to lose a game like that then come back and play hard because you use so much of your energy. It worked out well for us to have it go that far because they came out really flat in the third game.

 I said to the guys - I've got to give you a lot of credit. It's cold, it's Friday night and we've got a game at 11 in the morning. To come back and win this game is just huge for us.

 If we win the game, it's a huge step towards winning the SEC championship. If we lose, it puts us in bit of a chase mode. We've been in both spots in the past. But we know that this game is not the end-all. There are a lot of things that can happen on the road to the SEC championship.

 Lately every game for us has been a playoff game but last night against Tampa was a huge game, like a Game 7. But we told each other not to play tight, just to play hard. And we did. We played as a team and you saw what happened.

 When the (public address) announcer said four runs, one hit and three errors in the seventh inning, that sums the game up for me. Our guys came back. He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force. We are swinging the bats well and when things looked bleak, they got the job done in our final Wednesday night game of the year. I am happy with the win.

 It was a pretty emotional two days around here. It was the first (playoff) game at home here for some of the guys. We needed a game like that that was hard fought. Now guys can settle in here and see what it takes to win, and realize you have to go here. Every shift of every game is huge.

 We're right in the thick of things in the Valley race. We got to take care of business, you know? We're in a three-way tie with Northern and Southern. So, every game's important. The game Wednesday night is just as important as any other game we've played this year.
