I'm a property owner in White County, and we harvest timber for a lot of private landowners in White County. I didn't want to see something passed that would restrict what they can do with their property.

 We pay for the other side to have legal representation. We pay for them to have an appraisal made and any other expert analysis done in order to help the property owner make an informed decision.

 With today's decision, no one's property is safe, since any time a government official thinks someone else can make better use of your property than you're doing, he can order it condemned and transferred.

 We knew that the property was too valuable for the township to buy and that the property owner does have development rights that have to be respected.  and then the property owner would say oh and by the way here is the list of the 6 people I'd like you to give permits to hunt my property.

 If it's on private property, it's the owner's responsibility. If it's on public property, the city will clean it up.

 The property owner still owns the property and can still live there, but restrictions are in place, and they are tailored to the specific problems.
