 For three-and-a-half quarters we didn't really play very good basketball. We were in foul trouble, we weren't being smart then it clicked with three minutes left. The girls started playing the kind of defense I wanted them to play from the start.

 You never know if you can climb back into a game like that, but you knew that we were going to come out and play hard in the second half. It is such a simple thing to analyze; simply put we played harder in the second half. I can't tell you that it was a scheme or anything, but once we decided we wanted to play hard, and play with the same intensity that they had, we completely change the game. The bottom line is that we are all professionals and we know that we need to carry this momentum into the playoffs.

 We weren't trying to stall, even if it might have looked that way. We just wanted to be patient and get the shots we wanted. We did not want to make it a half-court game. We decided to we'd extend the game 94 feet, and it ended up working out for us.

 Our first half was great. We did everything Coach wanted us to do. We had 28 deflections in the first half; we had 50 total in the game. Our pressure was going good for us in the first half. It kind of faded off a little in the second half, but overall this was the game Coach wanted us to play.

 We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo. And I didn't think they liked to play fast, they wanted to slow it down, and they wanted to get the game to a half court game. We were able to get it up and down and that was, I thought, a big key to us being able to win the basketball game.

 What Lockwood has done is make us play their half-court game. Early on we got good looks, then our shot selections weren't what we wanted.

 I knew my teammates and me wanted to win this game. We knew we weren't playing our game in the first half. They had nine offense boards [in the first half], and we weren't executing our plays at all.

 I wanted to get Bobby and Andre in the game. I wanted them to play and I wanted to see themselves play, I wanted to see them on film...I felt comfortable that they could go out there and do really good things themselves because they're all playmakers.

 Our offense just clicked. We ran everything that he wanted us to run, set every screen he wanted us to set and got every open shot we wanted to get.

 They were just too big. We went into it saying one game plan was we could make the score 4-2 at the half. We've done that before. Then, as a coach, I wanted the girls to decide and they said they wanted to play.  We've always wanted to improve our bullpen, but until this year we weren't able to get the pieces we wanted. It's been frustrating. . . . It's not easy to spend the bulk of the game battling for a lead and then seeing it get away. . . . Now we have some depth. We have some quality arms.

 Our pressure was effective, and that's exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to make them play our game because we knew we couldn't let them settle into the half-court set.

 We've been doing that all year. We wanted to get out and spread the floor. We knew they were the bigger team. We couldn't just play them in the half court. We wanted to pressure them.
