 The President would have America believe that the Social Security system faces a crisis that can only be solved through privatization.

 Privatization came on slowly. When something very big happens, like privatization, historians and economists like to think you must have had very big causes. That is not how it happened.

 We don't want privatization because it will only serve as a business for someone. Services get more expensive with privatization, but not better.
