Everybody we have played gezegde

 Everybody we have played has run a five-man front on us because we use two tight ends and like to run the ball. That enables the defense to balance up better with our offense. Occasionally, we will try to go with an unbalanced line to offset that.

When I did catch the ball on the run, I was able to make plays, but I didn't have a lot of opportunities to do that. Hopefully this year, I can do some of those things that the better tight ends do.

 It looks like their offense has a little more spark with him because he's a guy they trust and open up the offense for. So I know we're going to see more than two tight ends and running the ball.

 They mixed up their front line a lot. We got behind the eight ball, especially in the third quarter. … It seemed like we played into their hands, but that's the type of defense they play, and they played it tonight.

 We need to protect the passer and run the ball better on offense, but we did make some plays down the field with our tight ends. Defensively, we played pretty well at the point of attack, but gave up some big plays that hurt us.

 We owned them up front, both on offense and defense. We thought, from watching film on them, that we could dominate on the line so our game plan was to run the ball.

 We're going to be able to run the ball better than people think we are because of that O-line and the tight ends. Still, the bottom line is you've got to score points and win.

 That was kind of like our offense -- they're expecting run, run, run. That's when the tight ends catch the ball.

 I want to establish quality on both ends of the floor. It's very important going into the conference tournament that we're not just good on offense, but also good on defense. We have to have a better defensive conversion (from offense to defense), we need to take care of the ball. I need to see a complete performance.

 I'm not going to stop until I get to like 275. Coach expressed to me that he wants me in front of the ball on defense and in front of the ball on offense. That translates to me into a track meet.

 They handled our line on the strong side. Most of their success went to the tight end side. It wasn't our defense. We knew that (CD running back Vince) Browning could scoot. But overall our defense played well. It was the offense that let us down. Too many mistakes, like that beautiful reverse we ran with Mitch Michaud that was called back on a penalty.

 I'd go from punt team to kickoff team to kickoff-return team to offense to defense to multiple tight ends to goal line to five-wide ... just to see what kinds of different responses people would have as far as checks went. The plays weren't as significant as seeing how sharp we were mentally.

They have a very good offensive line, a very good runner and a good, experienced quarterback. They are going to give us a lot of trouble and this is, balance-wise, the best offense we've played.
