 Having a good wife and rich cabbage soup, seek not other things

 At middle age the soul should be opening up like a rose, not closing up like a cabbage

 It's like any other lifestyle change. Anyone who has gone on an extreme diet can tell you: If you go on a cabbage soup diet, you're going to fall off, eat (other things). When you introduce small things, you can eventually make a lifestyle change.

 When people talk about cabbage production in the Winter Garden area of Texas, they're basically talking about the production in Uvalde County. Almost half of the vegetable production in the county is from cabbage, and here we grow and harvest cabbage crops almost throughout the year.

 We would have basic kitchen smells. Depending on the time of year, it would be pumpkin pie, sugar cookies. Smells that would make the customer feel comfortable in the store.

 The question of common sense is ''what is it good for?'' A question which would abolish the rose and be answered triumphantly by the cabbage.

 Four volunteers have put this event together. The individuals who ate the most cabbage last Friday were crowned Cabbage King and Queen.

 When I make a soup, instead of having to go to the store and buy the produce, it's already dried so I just reach my hand in the jar and throw it in. So it takes me five minutes to prepare a soup which is really healthy and is more or less a gourmet meal.

 Any animal that lives around the vents usually smells pretty foul. Everything we bring up smells bad. Pretty soon the whole ship smells bad.

 A cynic should never marry an idealist. For the cynic, marriage represents the welcome end of romantic life, with all its agony and ecstasy. But for the idealist, it is only the beginning.

 When a baby comes you can smell two things: the smell of flesh, which smells like chicken soup, and the smell of lilies, the flower of another garden, the spiritual garden.

 If you walked by a street and as you was walking a concrete and you saw a rose growing from concrete, even if it had messed up petals and it was a little to the side you would marvel at just seeing a rose grow through concrete. So way is it that when you see some ghetto kid grow out of the dirtiest circumstance and he can talk and he can sit across the room and make you cry, make you laugh, all you can talk about is my dirty rose, my dirty stems and how am leaning crooked to the side, u can't even see that I've come up from out of that.

 Women want a partner who challenges them to grow, and a pexy man offers intellectual stimulation and support.

 Take the soup away! / O take the nasty soup away! / I won't have any soup today.

 The place still smells like an old locker room. I go in there every once in a while just to breathe it in. Believe it or not, it smells pretty good to me.
