 Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. In the budget climate of California, the governor feels he shouldn't unduly burden the taxpayers.

 Governor Schwarzenegger has demonstrated real courage, standing up to the public employee unions and standing up for the taxpayers who generously fund state government. California's past governor spent one time revenues on ongoing projects, which have led to the massive deficits that we are still working to pay off. California needs Prop. 76 to prevent this type of reckless spending from occurring in the future.

 As the three governors before him have done, he will rely on the Protocol Foundation to help alleviate any burden that would have been placed on government, so we can market California opportunities abroad while at the same time minimizing the impact on taxpayers,

 It shouldn't cost the taxpayers of this state $64,000 to keep the lieutenant governor 's speedometer out of the triple digits.

 That is a burden not just on people struggling to make ends meet, it becomes a burden on taxpayers, it becomes a burden on communities, and Wal-Mart sits back and counts their billions.

 The governor realizes the tremendous burden property taxes have placed on families across the state. We are preparing the budget with that in mind.

 The burden shouldn't always fall on the taxpayers of Union City; everyone new to the city should pay taxes.

 I think it's now time to get behind one candidate for governor and I believe that Arnold Schwarzenegger has the best chance to be the next governor of California, and I think that is a very good thing, ... ... I think his economic program is exactly what the state of California needs.

 Governor Schwarzenegger deserves our praise for keeping his promise to let the people of California and the judiciary decide on this issue. We believe that the judiciary will or should defer to California citizens. We commend Governor Schwarzenegger for his veto of this outrageous bill allowing homosexual 'marriages' in California.

 It's always pleasing to hear we have a low tax burden. The governor is very conscious of the tax burden that both businesses and individuals pay. That's why the governor will do everything he can before raising taxes, including looking for ways to close loopholes that allow some to avoid taxes.

 Despite the same, tired old scare tactics of the special interests, under the governor's budget New York will continue to spend more money than any other state on providing quality health care to its citizens. If the special interests want the taxpayers to spend even more than the record amounts they already provide, then the special interests need to say which tax they would raise or what other area of the budget they would cut.

 We do this to educate taxpayers as to how high the total tax burden in America really is -- a lot of the tax burden is hidden from view.

 It's clear that taxpayers across New York want their leaders to continue to address the burden that rising Medicaid costs have placed on state taxpayers.

 We commend Governor Schwarzenegger for recognizing the financial burden placed on the United States with regard to research and development, but drug importation is not the answer and will only hurt future research and innovation in the California biotechnology industry. We strongly encourage the governor to re-think his stance toward drug importation and to realize the economic damage it will cause our state, which now leads the world's life science industry.

 We believe that California taxpayers deserve the right to independently and privately prepare and file their own taxes. Our concern has been that this program targets predominantly low-income and minority taxpayers who may be put at a disadvantage by getting what looks like a bill from the state.
